Transcribe long recordings saved from Movavi Video Editor seminars, lectures and family archives.
Save the Movavi project as a video file, usually an MP4, or as an MP3 when the export window has an audio tab, and upload it here; a 6-hour seminar is transcribed in about 12 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor, and the 360 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 140 to spare.
From Movavi to a transcript
Long Movavi projects are often a full day of talks, or an old tape finally digitised. Both read better than they play.
Save the project as a file
Use the export button and choose a video format; MP4 is the usual pick. Many Movavi versions also have an audio section with MP3 or similar in the same window, so check the export settings. Note the output folder shown there before you click start, so you can find the file afterwards.
Size for a 6-hour day
A 1080p MP4 at 5 Mbps is about 2.25 GB per hour, so 6 hours comes to 13.5 GB, too big for one upload. As MP3 at 128 kbps, the same 6 hours is about 346 MB, which fits the box on this page and the 2 GB limit that applies before a pack.
Ten lectures, one pack
Ten lectures of 2 hours are 1,200 minutes, which belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes and leaves 800 for later. A single 6-hour seminar is a $6 job.
Find the part that mattered
Chapters with timestamps split the day into its sessions, the brief carries the thesis and takeaways, and every name, number and date said aloud is listed. Speakers are named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters, which helps when several presenters share one long file.
A long file and no notes
The seminar ran six hours. The only record is a video nobody will sit through twice.

FAQ
Movavi exports, answered.
How long does a 6-hour Movavi export take to transcribe?
Around 12 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A 2-hour lecture takes about 4 minutes.
What does it cost?
New visitors get the first 20 minutes free; longer recordings are previewed and a pack transcribes the rest. A 6-hour seminar fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Ten 2-hour lectures fit the $12 pack, and anything above 2,000 minutes goes on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
What if the recording is longer than 10 hours?
Split it into two files in Movavi, for example at a session break, and upload both. Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and a file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account.
Is there a Movavi integration?
No. WhipScribe is not built into Movavi and has no plugin for it. You export the file and upload it; if the video is already on YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive, paste the link instead.
Can it handle an old family tape?
If the speech is audible, yes. Music and background noise are not transcribed, only the speech, and 99 languages are detected automatically.
Which formats come back, and is it private?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON come back. We transcribe on our own servers, and your recording is never used for training.
