From CXone to a calibration pack

Calibration works when every evaluator reads the same words.

Exporting for the quality team

Recorded interactions are usually found through the platform's interaction search, where a user with the right role can play them and, if permitted, download them. Exports for a whole set depend on what your administrators have enabled. Check the export settings for the audio format before you plan a regular pull.

Escalations run long

Escalated calls are where the long recordings are: transfers, holds and a supervisor joining push them past a quarter of an hour. At 64 kbps a 14-minute call is about 6.7 MB, so even the longest escalation stays tiny next to the 2 GB that uploads before a first pack.

Pricing a calibration month

75 escalations of 14 minutes total 1,050 minutes, more than 500 and within the $12 pack of 2,000. Two months of the same set, 2,100 minutes, cross into the $24 pack of 5,000. A single calibration session of 20 calls, 280 minutes, fits the $6 pack.

Evaluators on the same page

Each evaluator reads the same transcript with the same timestamps, so a scoring disagreement points to a line, not a memory. The brief lists the customer's questions and the commitments made, chapters mark the transfer and the resolution, and the chat answers questions such as whether the agent offered a callback.

Calibration by ear

Five evaluators hear one call five ways.

✗ Each evaluator listens alone

Scores drift because nobody shares the same text.

  • Disagreements settled by replaying
  • Escalations too long to hear twice
  • Transfers and holds eating review time
  • The 25 MB per-file limit of the OpenAI Whisper API
  • Commitments to customers left unchecked
  • Notes that quote calls from memory

✓ Everyone reads one transcript

The set is text before the session starts.

  • About 35 minutes for 75 escalations
  • One timestamp settles a dispute
  • Commitments listed in each brief
  • Chapters at the transfer and the fix
  • 1,050 minutes inside one pack
  • DOCX for the calibration pack

00:00:15 I asked for a supervisor because this is the fourth time I'm explaining the same problem.
00:03:40 I understand. I've read the earlier notes, so you won't need to start again.
00:09:05 The technician visit was booked for the wrong address, which is why nobody came.
00:13:20 I've rebooked it for Thursday morning and added a credit to this month's bill. You'll get a text the day before.

FAQ

NICE CXone recordings, answered.

Is there a NICE CXone integration?

No. WhipScribe has no CXone integration and no bot on calls. A user with export rights downloads the recordings, then uploads them here or shares a Google Drive folder link; the transcripts are made from those files.

How long do 75 escalations take?

Roughly 35 minutes of processing at about 2 minutes per audio hour; any single 14-minute call is back in under a minute.

What does a calibration month cost?

A first visit includes 20 free minutes. 1,050 minutes needs the $12 pack, and a 20-call session of 280 minutes fits the $6 pack. Packs are one-time, priced in USD, and the minutes never expire.

Are the transcripts an official record?

No. It is an AI transcript to work from in reviews and coaching, not a certified or official transcript and not legal advice. The recording itself stays the record of the call.

Do recorded calls need consent?

Yes: recording needs the consent the law where you and the customer are requires, arranged by the business that records. WhipScribe works only on recordings handed to it later.

What happens to the audio?

Escalations are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete calls and transcripts on your own retention schedule; exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON.
