Transcribe recordings made in a call centre a full shift of calls, ready for QA.
Call centre recordings for QA, whether a batch of 40 calls averaging 12 minutes or one 8-hour shift file, come back as text at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so 8 hours takes about 16 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the whole 480 minutes fits one $6 pack of 500.
What a call centre floor does to audio
The agent is on a headset. The customer is on a phone line. Forty other agents are talking behind them.
Two very different channels
The agent's headset is close and clean, and the customer arrives through a narrow phone line that cuts the high frequencies. Both are transcribed. Chatter from neighbouring desks is quieter and mostly drops out of the text, though a loud neighbour can leak in.
QA needs the exact wording
A quality review checks whether the disclosure was read, whether a refund was promised and what the customer was told about timing. The list of names, numbers and dates catches amounts and dates, and the chat finds where a phrase was or was not said.
A batch, priced
Forty calls of 12 minutes is 480 minutes, inside a $6 pack of 500. A QA team reviewing 160 hours a month, 9,600 minutes, would use two $24 packs of 5,000. The $24 pack also includes API access for sending calls in automatically.
Searching across the shift
Ask the chat which calls mentioned a cancellation and it answers with timestamps. Agents introduce themselves on every call, so their names turn up in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and a customer who gives a name is named the same way.
Why QA reviews only a sample
Most teams listen to two or three calls per agent a month. The rest go unheard.
✗ Listening at 1.5x speed
Reviewers play recordings back one at a time, so the sample stays small and the scoring stays slow.
- A handful of calls reviewed per agent
- No searchable record of what was promised
- Limits like the Whisper API's 25 MB upload cap
- Disputes settled from memory
- Coaching notes without the exact quote
- Per-seat software for a seasonal team
✓ Every call in the batch as text
The batch goes in once, and reviewers read and search instead of listening.
- A shift of calls in about 16 minutes
- The first 20 minutes free
- 480 minutes on one $6 pack
- Agent and customer named in summary and quotes
- Amounts and dates said, listed per call
- JSON for scoring, DOCX for coaching

FAQ
Call centre recordings, answered.
How long does a batch of calls take?
Calls process at about 2 minutes per audio hour. Eight hours of calls takes around 16 minutes, whether it arrives as one shift file or as many short ones.
What does a day of calls cost?
Eight hours is 480 minutes, which fits a $6 pack of 500 after the first 20 minutes free. Larger teams use the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes or the $24 pack of 5,000, and a team recording every week may prefer the $19/month Workspace.
Our dialer exports very large files. How big can a file be?
Each file can hold 10 hours or 5 GB. Before the first pack, uploads up to 2 GB start immediately, and a larger file starts once a pack is on the account. A file over 10 hours goes in as two.
Does it handle Taglish and regional-language calls?
99 languages are detected automatically. Calls in English with Filipino agents, and calls that switch between English and Tagalog, come back well. Cebuano, Ilocano and other regional Philippine languages are supported but trail the major languages, so treat that text as a fast first draft and plan one review pass.
Is customer audio kept private?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and no audio goes to a third-party AI service. No bot joins a live call; this works on the recording afterwards. Delete a batch and its transcripts whenever your retention policy says so.
Which formats come back for scoring?
Each run produces TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. JSON keeps the timestamps for a scoring sheet or your own tooling.
