Transcribe long recordings from ON24 the whole on-demand library.
An ON24 webinar transcribes from the on-demand MP4 the organiser exports, uploaded here at up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file, and an hour-long webinar returns in about 2 minutes. A quarter of 20 such webinars is 1,200 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes; a year of 80 fits the $24 pack of 5,000.
From the console to copy
An enterprise webinar programme produces a library; this turns it into text.
Exporting the on-demand file
The organiser who runs the ON24 account exports the recording of a finished event, normally an MP4 of the on-demand version. Menus differ by account set-up, so check the export settings or ask whoever administers the platform. WhipScribe has no ON24 integration and no bot in the event; it starts from the exported file.
Why the viewer link will not do
The on-demand page an audience opens is a player, usually behind registration, not a plain media file. That is not one of the link types we fetch, which are YouTube, Vimeo, Twitch, Kick, Google Drive and podcast feeds. Export the file, or paste a Drive link to it, and the rest is automatic.
A programme's worth of minutes
A single 60-minute webinar uses 60 of the $6 pack's 500 minutes. Twenty in a quarter come to 1,200 minutes, so the $12 pack of 2,000 is the right buy with 800 left. Eighty in a year is 4,800 minutes, which suits the $24 pack of 5,000 at $0.29 an audio hour.
Content that comes out of it
Marketing teams turn each webinar into a blog post, a follow-up email and a set of answers for sales. The brief carries the thesis and takeaways, chapters mark each segment with a timestamp, and the presenters are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.
On-demand libraries elsewhere
Most on-demand webinars are watched by a fraction of the people who registered.
✗ Left as video
The library grows; the words stay locked inside it.
- Hours of on-demand video nobody quotes
- Copywriters replaying sessions to find a line
- Product claims scattered across recordings
- Q&A answers that never reach sales
- Exports too large for small upload limits
- No text to caption the replay from
✓ Exported and transcribed
Each webinar becomes something to read and reuse.
- The MP4 uploads straight from the export
- Roughly 2 minutes per webinar hour
- Chapters per segment and demo
- Each presenter named in summary, quotes and chapters
- A year of webinars on the $24 pack
- SRT and VTT for the on-demand player

FAQ
ON24 recordings, the common questions.
How long does an ON24 recording take?
Around 2 minutes per hour of audio: a 60-minute webinar in about 2 minutes, a 3-hour virtual event in about 6. The proof page lists a 9.31-hour file done in 1,033 seconds.
What does a webinar library cost to transcribe?
On a first visit, the opening 20 minutes of any ON24 export cost nothing. One hour-long webinar fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes, 20 of them the $12 pack of 2,000, and 80 of them the $24 pack of 5,000, which also includes API access. Every pack is a one-time purchase whose credits never expire.
The export is large. Will it upload, and should I cut it?
Any file up to 10 hours or 5 GB is accepted. Until the first pack, the ceiling is 2 GB; a larger export starts once a pack is on the account. There is nothing to cut unless the event ran past 10 hours. Should the upload refuse an export, convert it to MP3 first.
Can I paste the ON24 viewer link instead of exporting?
No. The audience link opens a player page rather than a media file, so export the MP4 or put it in Google Drive and paste the Drive share link.
Our webinars run in several languages; does that cause trouble?
No. Each file's main language is detected automatically from 99, so English, Japanese, Korean or Spanish webinars need no setting.
Which exports does an ON24 webinar get, and how is the recording handled?
Five exports per webinar: TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, which matters when the webinar showed an unreleased product.
