Transcribe a long recording from OneDrive Teams meetings and phone audio alike.
To transcribe a long recording in OneDrive, such as a Teams meeting MP4 or a phone voice memo backed up as M4A, download the file from OneDrive and upload it here; a two-hour meeting is ready in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, files can run to 10 hours or 5 GB, and a two-hour meeting uses 120 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack.
From a saved meeting to text
Recorded automatically, finally read.
Where Teams recordings land
Recordings of ordinary Teams meetings are usually saved to the OneDrive of the person who started recording, in a Recordings folder, while channel meetings go to SharePoint. Open the recording in OneDrive, use Download, and you have the MP4. If no Download option shows, the owner may need to change your permissions.
Phone backups
A voice memo or recorder app backed up to OneDrive is usually an M4A or an MP3, in whichever folder your phone's backup uses; search OneDrive for the date if you are unsure. Download it and upload it as it is, with no conversion needed.
No OneDrive link, no bot
WhipScribe does not read OneDrive links and has no bot in Teams: it works on the recording afterwards. Download first, then drop the file in the box above or send it from the upload page. If you want a link that works on paste, a Google Drive share link is fetched directly.
What a long meeting returns
A brief with the decisions and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, the names, numbers and dates said, and the questions the meeting answered. People are named in the summary, quotes and chapters, and the chat can tell you what was agreed about a given item.
Why OneDrive recordings go unread
Saved automatically, watched by almost nobody.
✗ Left in the folder
Teams saves the meeting, and the recording sits there until someone needs one sentence from it.
- A two-hour MP4 nobody will watch
- Each attendee remembering a different decision
- A link that only opens inside the organisation
- Phone memos backed up, never played
- Short-file tools that refuse a long meeting
- Minutes written from memory a day late
✓ Read in minutes
Download the MP4 or M4A once and the meeting becomes text with timestamps.
- A two-hour Teams meeting back in about 4 minutes
- Decisions and their owners up front
- Phone audio uploaded with no conversion
- A single OneDrive file of up to 10 hours or 5 GB
- $6 for 500 minutes, credits that keep
- DOCX minutes, SRT for the video

FAQ
OneDrive recordings, the common questions.
How long does a OneDrive recording take?
Transcription runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a two-hour Teams meeting is ready in about 4 minutes after the upload, and a five-hour workshop in about 10.
What would a month of recorded meetings cost?
Ten two-hour meetings are 1,200 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 covers. One two-hour meeting uses 120 minutes of the $6 pack. A $19/month Workspace is there for a team that records every week.
How big is a Teams MP4?
It depends on resolution and screen sharing, so check the size in OneDrive's file details. As a guide, video at 2 Mbps works out near 900 MB per hour; up to 2 GB uploads before a pack, and up to 5 GB after.
Does a long meeting need to be split?
Only past 10 hours. Anything shorter goes in as one file; a recording longer than that is cut into two at a break.
Can it handle a meeting in French or Hebrew?
Yes; the language is picked out automatically from 99. A meeting that moves between English and another language is detected on its main language, and the switches are handled.
Which exports are there, and does the meeting stay private?
Meetings download as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings downloaded from OneDrive are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
