Transcribe long recordings from Piezo the call you recorded on your Mac.
A Piezo recording of a 90-minute call uploads here as the audio file Piezo saved, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file, and it comes back as text in about 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free on your first visit, and five calls of that length, 450 minutes in all, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
From Piezo to a document
Piezo keeps things simple, and the upload stays simple too.
Finding the recording
Piezo lists every recording in its own window, and from there you can reveal the file in Finder. Check the quality setting if you want to know the format before you upload; the file goes up as it is either way. WhipScribe is not connected to Piezo in any way and works only on the saved recording.
Consent before you record
Recording a call needs the consent that the law where you are, and where the other people are, requires. Tell everyone on the call that it is being recorded before you press the button, and keep their answer in the recording itself.
Five calls on one pack
A 90-minute call is 90 minutes of credit. Five of them make 450 minutes, which the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers with 50 minutes left over. A month of weekly 2-hour calls, 480 minutes, also fits that same $6 pack.
Notes you can send on
Every call comes back with a brief that states the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and the names, numbers and dates said aloud. Both sides of the conversation are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so the follow-up email almost writes itself.
Long calls elsewhere
A 90-minute call is easy to record and hard to get back out as text.

FAQ
Piezo recordings, the usual questions.
How quickly does a 90-minute Piezo call come back?
In about 3 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. On the proof page, a 4.94-hour file finished in 372 seconds.
What do five long calls cost?
The first 20 minutes are free when you first visit. Five 90-minute calls total 450 minutes, which sits on the $6 pack of 500 minutes at $0.72 an audio hour. Pack credits never expire, so the 50 left over wait for the next call.
How large or long can a Piezo file be?
One file may run to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first. Before your first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a call recording is almost always far smaller than that. Anything longer than 10 hours is split into two files.
Piezo made two files for one call. Do I join them?
Upload them as two files if that is simpler; each gets its own brief and chapters. If you want a single document on one clock, join them in an audio editor first and upload the result.
Does it work if the call was not in English?
Yes. The language is detected automatically from 99 supported languages, and a call that moves between two of them is detected on its main language with the switches handled.
What formats can I download, and who sees the call?
You can take the call away as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, which matters when the call is with a client.
