Restream Events · download or replay link · about 2 min per hour

Transcribe a Restream Events recording live events, after the broadcast.

A Restream Events recording is transcribed at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 3-hour live event is text in about 6 minutes, whether you upload the downloaded file or paste the replay link from YouTube, Twitch or Kick. Four 3-hour events a month are 720 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, and the first 20 minutes are free.

Live once, readable afterwards

A live event is broadcast to five platforms and remembered on none of them.

Two ways in

Restream can keep a recording of the event in its own video storage when recording is turned on; download it from there, usually as an MP4. Or skip the download: if the event was multistreamed to YouTube, Twitch or Kick, paste that replay link and the audio is fetched for you.

Six minutes for three hours

A 1-hour live Q&A comes back in about 2 minutes and a 3-hour event in about 6. A 6-hour charity stream takes about 12, and a stream replay longer than 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account.

A month of events

Four 3-hour events are 720 minutes, which needs the $12 pack of 2,000 since it passes the 500 in the $6 pack. A weekly 1-hour show, about 260 minutes a month, stays on the $6 pack.

From broadcast to recap

Chapters mark each segment and guest, the brief gives the takeaways, and the questions answered on air are collected. Names, numbers and dates are pulled out for the recap post. Large files continue on the upload page.

When the broadcast ends

The event reached viewers on every platform. The recap still gets written by rewatching.

✗ Replays scattered

Copies of the event sit on several platforms, none of them searchable.

  • Three hours rewatched for a recap
  • Questions answered live, then forgotten
  • Replays without captions
  • Clips chosen by guesswork
  • Uploads refused above 25 MB
  • A subscription for monthly events

✓ One event, one document

The recording becomes recap, captions and a list of what was answered.

  • About 6 minutes for 3 hours
  • Four events on the $12 pack
  • Chapters per segment and guest
  • Viewer questions listed
  • Hosts and guests named in the summary
  • SRT captions plus a DOCX event recap

02:14:05 We've got questions coming in from three platforms, so I'll read them out as they come.
02:14:22 First one: will the workshop materials be shared after today's event?
02:14:35 Yes. Everyone registered gets the slides and the worksheet by Friday.
02:15:02 Next, from the chat on the other stream: is there a recording of last month's session too?

FAQ

Restream Events recordings, answered.

Can I paste a Restream link?

Paste the replay link from YouTube, Twitch or Kick where the event was multistreamed. A Restream storage or event page link is not fetched; download the recording from Restream and upload it instead. There is no Restream integration and no bot in the broadcast.

How long does a long event take?

About 2 minutes per audio hour: 3 hours in about 6 minutes, 8 hours in about 16. One file can be up to 10 hours; a longer marathon goes up as two files.

Why won't my 7-hour replay start?

A Twitch, Kick or YouTube Live replay over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account. Uploaded files follow the size rule instead: up to 2 GB before the first pack, up to 5 GB after.

What does a season of events cost?

Twelve monthly 3-hour events are 2,160 minutes, which the $24 pack of 5,000 covers. Four events, 720 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, and credits never expire.

Is music or crowd noise transcribed?

No. Intro music, sound effects and crowd noise are not written down; the speech is. Guests and panellists recorded on air should have agreed, as the law where you are requires.

Bilingual events, exports and data use?

99 languages are detected automatically, so a bilingual event needs no setting. You can export TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Event recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are not used to train any model.
