Transcribe long interviews recorded with a Shure MVL a lavalier on the guest, a transcript for the story.
A 2-hour interview recorded on a phone with a Shure MVL lavalier is text in about 4 minutes, uploaded as a file or pasted as a Google Drive link. The first 20 minutes are free on a first visit, and the 120 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500.
From the guest's collar to the page
A clip-on mic gets the guest's voice clean. Pulling the quotes out is the long part.
Where the interview is
The MVL plugs into the phone's headset socket, or through an adapter on phones without one, and feeds whatever app records: Shure's MOTIV app, another recorder or the camera. Recordings stay in that app until you share them to Files or Google Drive. Upload from there, or paste a Drive share link.
Both voices, not just one
A lavalier hears its wearer far better than anyone else. Clip it on the guest about a hand's width below the chin, sit close, and repeat any question that matters, or record a second phone near the interviewer. Speakers are identified and named in the summary and key quotes, which works best when both voices are audible.
A series of interviews
Ten 2-hour interviews for a podcast season, a thesis or a family history come to 1,200 minutes. That is over 500, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes fits, with 800 left. Before you record anyone, get the consent the law where you are requires.
Finding the quote
Each interview returns with a brief, chapters with timestamps, the names, places and dates mentioned, and the questions it answers. Ask the chat where the guest talked about a particular year and you have the minute to cite, which makes checking a quote before publication a matter of seconds.

FAQ
Shure MVL interviews, answered.
How long does a 2-hour MVL interview take?
Just about 4 minutes; the rate is about 2 minutes for every hour of audio. A 40-minute interview takes under 2.
What does a series of interviews cost?
Ten 2-hour interviews are 1,200 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000. One interview fits the $6 pack of 500, and the first 20 minutes are free on a first visit.
My phone has no headset socket. Does that matter here?
Only for recording; use an adapter that suits your phone, and do a short test take first to check the level before the guest arrives. The file you upload is the same either way, and there is no integration with the MVL or its app.
Can I upload video of the interview?
Yes. Video is accepted and the speech is transcribed from its soundtrack. The box on this page takes 500 MB; bigger files continue on the main upload page, up to 10 hours or 5 GB, and 2 GB before a first pack.
The guest speaks Tagalog with English words. Fine?
The main language is detected automatically from 99, and English words inside Tagalog speech are handled.
Which files can I export, and who handles the interview?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Interviews are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
