Transcribe long recordings from StreamSpot services, ceremonies and meetings.
To transcribe a StreamSpot recording, download the archived event and upload the file: a 2.5-hour service or school ceremony comes back as text in about 5 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, that 150-minute event fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and a school year of twelve 2-hour board meetings fits the $12 pack.
Streams that become records
Churches and schools stream long events; the text is what people come back for.
Downloading the archive
The account holder downloads archived events from StreamSpot; the file is usually an MP4, but check the export settings your account offers. Nothing from WhipScribe connects to StreamSpot or sits in the stream. The work starts once you hold the file.
Events you are entitled to transcribe
Transcribe events your church or school streamed, or ones you have permission for. School events involve students and families, so keep transcripts of ceremonies and meetings inside whatever consent your school already uses for the stream.
A school year of meetings
Twelve monthly board meetings of 2 hours each are 1,440 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 560 left for a graduation and a concert's spoken parts. A single 2.5-hour ceremony uses 150 minutes of the $6 pack of 500.
What a ceremony transcript gives you
A graduation or awards night comes back with chapters for each speech and the names, numbers and dates that were read out. Music and applause are not transcribed. Speakers are named in the summary and chapters, which makes the valedictorian's speech easy to find.
Long school and church events
A 2-hour board meeting is a record; a stream alone is hard to cite.

FAQ
StreamSpot recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 2.5-hour event take?
Around 5 minutes, at about 2 minutes per audio hour. A 1-hour service takes about 2.
What does a school year of meetings cost?
A first visit comes with the first 20 minutes free. Twelve 2-hour meetings are 1,440 minutes, which belongs on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, at $0.36 an audio hour. One ceremony alone fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
Is there a StreamSpot link option?
No. Download the archived event and upload it. If your school also posts the event to YouTube or Vimeo, paste that link instead.
How large can the archive file be?
Each archive file may reach 5 GB or 10 hours. Files up to 2 GB upload before a pack; larger ones start once a pack is on the account. At 3 Mbps a 2.5-hour event is 3 × 9,000 = 27,000 megabits, about 3.4 GB.
Can a meeting be in another language?
Yes, 99 languages are detected automatically. A meeting that moves between English and Spanish is detected on its main language and the switches are handled.
Is this an official record of a board meeting?
It is an AI transcript with timestamps to work from, not a certified or official transcript. You get TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, and recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
