Which file to send
Switcher productions can leave more than one recording behind, such as the program output and separate camera files, depending on your settings. Send the program recording: it carries the mixed audio of the whole show. It is usually an MP4 or MOV in the app's recordings or the device's files; check the recording settings if you are unsure.
Uploading from the device
Open this page in the browser on the iPhone or iPad and pick the file. The box here takes up to 500 MB; a long high-quality recording is often bigger, and it continues on upload page with the same 10-hour, 5 GB ceiling. If the show went out to YouTube or sits in Google Drive, paste that link instead.
A weekly show, by the month
Four 2.5-hour shows are 600 minutes, a little over the $6 pack, so the $12 pack of 2,000 covers a month with room for a second programme. Thirteen weekly shows in a quarter, 1,950 minutes, also fit that $12 pack.
What comes back
A brief with the thesis and takeaways, chapters that follow your segments, the names, numbers and dates said on air, and a chat that answers questions about the show. SRT and VTT caption the replay; DOCX feeds the show notes. Guests can be sent their own segment as text, found through the chapter times, and a sponsor read can be checked word for word without replaying the episode.

How long does a 2.5-hour show take?
About 5 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. Uploading from a phone on mobile data usually takes longer than the transcription.
Do I need to send every camera file?
No. One recording with the mixed audio is enough, usually the program recording. Separate camera files would each be counted as their own minutes, and they carry the same speech, so sending them adds cost without adding words. Keep them for editing and send the program file for text.
What does a weekly show cost?
Your first visit has 20 minutes free, and a longer show is previewed beyond that. A month of four 2.5-hour shows is 600 minutes, which goes on the $12 pack of 2,000. There is no subscription.
The file on my iPad is huge. Will it go?
A file up to 2 GB uploads before any pack, and up to 5 GB once one is on the account, for up to 10 hours. If it is larger, export a lower-quality copy or convert it to audio first.
Can a production team share one account?
A $19/month Workspace exists for teams that record every week. For a single show, the one-time packs are usually enough.
Does WhipScribe plug into Switcher Studio?
No. There is no integration and nothing joins your production; the recording is transcribed afterwards on our own servers and never used for training.
