Transcribe the lecture videos for your Udemy course captions, notes and a course outline from your own files.
An instructor's 14-hour Udemy course, uploaded here as its lecture files, is transcribed in about 28 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free. Those 840 minutes fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes; WhipScribe has no connection to Udemy, so you work from the files on your own computer.
For the instructor, not the student
You already recorded the course. A transcript turns the same files into captions, notes and a sales page.
Work from your masters
This page is for the instructor's own recordings: the exported lecture videos in your project folder, usually MP4, or the raw takes from your screen recorder or camera. Upload those; nothing is taken from the Udemy site, and students' downloads are not the source.
Raw takes or final cuts
Transcribe the final edited lecture when you want captions, because timestamps follow the file you upload. Transcribe the raw 2-hour take when you want notes or a script to cut from. One file can run to 10 hours or 5 GB; before a pack, the cap is 2 GB.
A course, priced
Six hours of course video come to 360 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500. A 14-hour course is 840 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000. Three courses with 40 hours of video, 2,400 minutes, need the $24 pack of 5,000.
What you build from it
Each lecture returns with a brief, chapters with timestamps, and the names, numbers and dates you said. Use SRT or VTT for captions where the course platform accepts an upload (check which format it takes), the brief for lecture descriptions, and the chat to draft practice questions.

FAQ
Udemy instructor videos: what instructors ask.
How long does a whole course take?
At about 2 minutes per audio hour, a 6-hour course takes roughly 12 minutes and a 14-hour course roughly 28. Lectures can be uploaded one after another and each is ready as it finishes.
What does a course cost to transcribe?
A first upload gets 20 minutes free. A 6-hour course is 360 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, a 14-hour course is 840 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, and a 40-hour catalogue needs the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Credits never expire, so the next course uses what is left.
Can I transcribe another instructor's course?
No. This is for recordings you made and own. Do not upload other instructors' lectures or videos downloaded from a course you bought.
Will the captions match my lecture after I edit it?
Captions follow the timestamps of the exact file uploaded. Transcribe the final export of each lecture for captions; if you re-cut a lecture, transcribe the new export again.
I teach in Spanish with English technical terms. Does that work?
Yes. The language is detected automatically, from 99, and English terms inside another language are handled. A lecture that moves between languages is detected on the main one.
Which exports do I get, and is my course content private?
Lectures export as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Your lectures are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, and you can delete any file and its text whenever you want.
