Families, teams and groups on Viber · 1 to 3 hour calls

Transcribe a Viber group call so the family or the team agrees on what was decided.

A 2-hour Viber group call recorded on your phone or computer comes back as text in about 4 minutes, with the decisions, amounts and dates said on the call listed in the brief. The first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers four 90-minute calls with 140 minutes to spare.

Packs from $6, credits never expire · then from $0.36/hour · Credits never expire · Never used to train AI

For families abroad, remote teams and groups

Long group calls end with everyone remembering a different version of the plan.

One written version of the call

The brief states what the call was about and what was settled, so a sibling in Dubai and a cousin in Cebu read the same plan afterwards.

Amounts, dates and names, pulled out

Every figure, deadline and name said aloud is listed with its timestamp, which is what people argue about a week later.

Names attached in the summary and quotes

When people greet each other by name, the summary, quotes and chapters say who proposed what. The full transcript itself reads as continuous text.

Any common call recording

Screen recordings, voice recorder files and computer captures all work. Send them through the upload page once the call has ended.

Why memory fails

By the next call, half the group has a different idea of what was agreed.

✗ Relying on the call alone

Group calls run long, people talk over each other, and the one person taking notes misses the part where the numbers were decided.

  • Nobody wrote down the amounts agreed
  • Members who missed the call ask for a recap
  • A two-hour recording nobody will replay
  • Weak connections dropping words
  • Taglish that English-only tools miss
  • Deadlines remembered three different ways

✓ That call, uploaded here

The recording returns as text, with the points the group will need pulled out first.

  • A brief of what was decided
  • Every amount and deadline with its time
  • Chapters per topic of the call
  • Tagalog and English in one pass
  • A DOCX to share in the group chat
  • Four 90-minute calls on the $6 pack

Sample output

A family call that mixes Tagalog and English.

A sample composed for this page to illustrate the format; it is not from a real call, family or company.

FAQ

Viber group call recordings, answered.

How do I record the call in the first place?

The recording is made on one end of the call, on your own device: a phone's screen recorder with audio switched on, a recorder running on the computer during a desktop call, or a second phone held near the speaker. On some phones the screen recorder captures only your own microphone during a call, so test it on a short call first. Tell everyone on the call that you are recording.

How long does a 2-hour call take, and what will I pay?

Expect about 4 minutes, since processing runs near 2 minutes per audio hour. One 2-hour call is 120 minutes. A team that meets for 90 minutes every week uses 360 minutes a month, inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes; weekly 3-hour calls for a quarter, 2,340 minutes, go on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

How big is a call recording, and do I need to split it?

A voice recording at 64 kbps is 64 × 3,600 = 230,400 kilobits an hour, about 29 MB, so even a long call is small. A screen recording at 5 Mbps is about 2.25 GB an hour, which passes the 2 GB limit that applies before the first pack. One file can run up to 10 hours or 5 GB, so there is no need to split a call.

Which languages does it understand on a family call?

Tagalog and Filipino are detected automatically, switches into English are handled, and the English parts come back cleanly. A call in Ilocano, Hiligaynon or Kapampangan is supported too, though the result is a fast first draft that needs one review pass.

Does a bot join our Viber call?

No. WhipScribe has no connection to Viber and never joins a call. It only works on a recording you upload afterwards. That also means the call itself is never affected: Viber works exactly as before, and the transcript only exists once someone uploads the recording.

What do I download, and is the call kept private?

Exports are TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, timestamps included. Calls are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the call and its text at any point.
