Transcribe long XSplit Broadcaster recordings an eight-hour stream, ready to read.
An XSplit Broadcaster recording transcribes from the local file you upload here, and an 8-hour stream is back as text in about 16 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and the full 480 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
Local recording to text
XSplit writes the long stream to your drive; the transcript makes it something you can use.
Finding the file
XSplit Broadcaster saves local recordings to the folder and format chosen in its recording settings, often MP4, sometimes another container. If you are unsure, open the recording settings and check before you search the drive. A file the upload will not take can be converted to MP3 first.
Making a big file fit
Video at 6 Mbps for 8 hours is about 21.6 GB, far past the 5 GB limit. Converted to MP3 at 128 kbps, the same 8 hours is roughly 461 MB, which even fits the 500 MB box on this page. Larger files go through upload page, still within 10 hours or 5 GB.
Charity marathons and long events
A charity stream of 8 hours uses 480 minutes, inside the $6 pack. Four such streams a year are 1,920 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000. A stream past 10 hours goes in as two files, and anything over 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account.
Reports from the text
Totals, milestones and thank-yous you read out are listed with their minute, and the brief condenses eight hours into takeaways for a wrap-up post. The chat answers questions like when the second goal was reached, with the timestamp. Organisers who need to confirm what was promised on air, such as a matching pledge or a prize, can search for it in seconds rather than rewatching a whole evening.

FAQ
XSplit Broadcaster recordings, the common questions.
How long does an 8-hour recording take?
About 16 minutes, since processing runs at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. Uploading a multi-gigabyte video is usually the longer step.
Can I paste a link instead?
If the stream went to Twitch, Kick or YouTube, yes: paste the VOD or replay link. XSplit's local file has no link, so it is uploaded.
What does an 8-hour stream cost?
Your first 20 minutes are free and the rest is previewed. A pack from $6 transcribes the rest; 480 minutes fit the $6 pack of 500. No subscription, and credits never expire.
My recording is 20 GB. What should I do?
Convert it to audio: at 128 kbps MP3, 8 hours is about 461 MB. Each file can be up to 5 GB, or 2 GB before your first pack. A desktop audio converter does this in a few minutes, and the transcript only needs the speech, so nothing useful is lost by dropping the video.
Is game and music audio included?
No. Music, sound effects and crowd noise are not transcribed. Your voice, guests on the mix and read-out messages are, and speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters.
Does XSplit connect to WhipScribe?
No. There is no plugin, integration or bot. The recording is transcribed afterwards on our own servers and never used for training.
