From the meeting room to the minutes

A tenants' association or a parent group meeting in Spanish, turned into minutes the secretary can finish that night.

Motions, votes and the people behind them

The brief gives the main decisions and the chapters follow the agenda, with speakers named in the summary and chapters. The secretary drafts minutes from the brief and checks each vote against the time it was taken.

Recorded on whatever was at hand

Community meetings get recorded on a phone on the table, a laptop running a video call, or a camera at the back. Each of those produces an ordinary audio or video file that uploads as it is, and a call recording saved to Google Drive can be pasted as a share link. upload page

A year of meetings, costed

Twelve monthly 2-hour meetings use 1,440 minutes of the $12 pack's 2,000. A single meeting is a small slice of the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and a coalition that records several committees each month can move to the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.

Find what was agreed

The names, dates and amounts mentioned are listed, from the date of the next cleanup to the sum raised at the fundraiser. The chat answers questions over the transcript, such as what was decided about the letter to the property manager.

Why community minutes fall behind

Volunteers run the meeting; nobody has three hours left to write it up.

✗ The volunteer secretary's evening

Minutes in Spanish often depend on one person's notes, typed up days later.

  • Notes taken while also chairing
  • Votes recorded without the exact wording
  • Absent members get a short paragraph
  • Recordings that sit on a phone for months
  • English-only tools that mangle the Spanish
  • Bilingual members asked to interpret on the spot

✓ Minutes that start from a transcript

The meeting comes back in Spanish with decisions, chapters and the details that were said.

  • Near 4 minutes for a 2-hour meeting
  • Agenda items as chapters with times
  • Whoever spoke, named in the summary
  • Votes, dates and amounts pulled out
  • Text the secretary turns into minutes
  • A year of meetings on one $12 pack

FAQ

Community meetings, the questions secretaries ask.

How long does a 2-hour meeting take?

About 4 minutes. A 90-minute meeting is ready in about 3, which is usually before the chairs are stacked.

What does a year of monthly meetings cost?

Twelve 2-hour meetings are 1,440 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000. The $6 pack of 500 minutes holds four 2-hour meetings in total. Above 2,000 minutes, the $24 pack holds 5,000. Your first meeting upload starts with the first 20 minutes free.

How big a file can I upload?

Up to 2 GB before the first pack, and up to 5 GB and 10 hours per file once a pack is on the account. A 2-hour phone recording in M4A at 128 kbps is 128,000 bits a second times 7,200 seconds, about 115 MB, far under either limit.

Should I split the meeting into agenda items?

No. Upload the whole meeting as one file; the chapters already divide it by agenda item, and one clock gives every vote a single time.

What if the meeting is half in English?

The recording is detected on its main language, and switches between Spanish and English are handled, so a bilingual meeting stays in one transcript. Detection is automatic for 99 languages.

Which exports, and is the recording private?

DOCX to edit into minutes, TXT for a newsletter, SRT or VTT if the video is posted, JSON for an archive. Meeting recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
