Transcribe Spanish know-your-rights workshops so the answers outlive the evening.

A Spanish-language know-your-rights or community information workshop usually runs 2 to 3 hours, and WhipScribe returns a 3-hour recording as a Spanish transcript in about 6 minutes, with the first 20 minutes free. From the community hall to a written record

A long evening of questions and answers in Spanish, turned into text organizers can return to.

The whole workshop, Q&A included

These evenings often run long because the questions from the room take longer than the talk itself. One file holds up to 10 hours, so the presentation and every question afterwards stay in the same transcript.

Chapters by topic

Chapters mark where the presenter moves between topics, such as what to bring to an appointment or how to find a free legal clinic, with times. Volunteers preparing the next session can see which topics drew the most questions. upload page

A season of workshops, costed

Three 2.5-hour workshops are 450 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. A program holding a workshop every two weeks for six months, thirteen sessions of 2.5 hours, uses 1,950 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000.

A record, not advice

The transcript is a record of what the presenters said, not legal advice, and it does not replace a conversation with a lawyer. What it does is keep the presenter's own words, the phone numbers and dates mentioned, and the questions people asked, so organizers can check what was covered.

Why workshop knowledge gets lost

The presenter leaves, the hall empties, and the answers live only in people's memory.

✗ After the evening

Most community workshops keep, at best, a phone video and a sign-in sheet.

  • A recording nobody has time to rewatch
  • Handwritten notes by one volunteer
  • Questions answered once and forgotten
  • Phone numbers misheard and miswritten
  • English tools that cannot follow the Spanish
  • No way to check what a presenter actually said

✓ The workshop, written down

The recording returns as Spanish text with a brief, chapters and the details people asked about.

  • Near 6 minutes for a 3-hour evening
  • Speakers at the front named in the summary
  • Every question from the floor, listed
  • Numbers and dates said, pulled out
  • DOCX for a volunteer handbook
  • Three workshops on one $6 pack

FAQ

Community workshops, the questions organizers ask.

How long does a 3-hour workshop take to transcribe?

Close to 6 minutes for three hours of audio. A 2-hour session is ready in about 4.

What does a season of workshops cost?

Three 2.5-hour workshops, 450 minutes, fit the $6 pack. Thirteen sessions of 2.5 hours, 1,950 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000. A larger program across several sites goes on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Packs are bought once and never expire, and a first recording starts with the first 20 minutes free.

The recording is on a volunteer's phone. Will it upload?

Yes. Phone recordings, usually M4A from a voice app or MP4 from the camera, upload directly; anything up to 2 GB goes before a pack, and up to 5 GB with one. Should a phone file be refused, converting it to MP3 first fixes it.

Do we have to split a long session?

No. One file covers up to 10 hours, which leaves plenty of room for a workshop with a long question period.

Some people asked their questions in English.

The workshop is detected on its main language and switches into English are handled, so a bilingual question period stays in one transcript. All 99 supported languages are detected this way.

What can we export, and who sees the recording?

DOCX and TXT for a handbook or a follow-up, SRT or VTT to caption a video, JSON for a website. Workshop recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Ask presenters and attendees before recording, and before sharing any transcript.
