Transcribe study group recordings from South Korea, for whoever missed it.
A two or three hour study group session recorded in South Korea transcribes in about 4 to 6 minutes, with Korean detected automatically. The first 20 minutes are free, one session fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes, and ten weekly three-hour sessions, 1,800 minutes in all, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
A 스터디 on paper
The member who missed Thursday should not need three hours to catch up.
Recorded for the absent
Study groups for certification exams, language tests and job interviews often record each meeting so that a member who could not attend can follow. A transcript lets that member read the session in twenty minutes instead of replaying it.
Ten weeks, counted
Ten sessions of three hours is 30 hours, or 1,800 minutes. The $12 pack of 2,000 minutes holds all of it with 200 minutes to spare, about $0.36 per audio hour.
Whoever explained it
The summary, the key quotes and the chapters name the members as they take turns presenting, so the notes show which person walked through which problem.
From the group's own recorder
A phone on the table, a laptop running a voice memo app or a Zoom cloud recording all work. Download the file and drop it on upload page, or paste a Google Drive share link if the group keeps its recordings there.
Why session recordings pile up
Most groups record every week and almost nobody listens back.
✗ Weeks of untouched audio
The recordings exist, but nobody has three spare hours to hear one again.
- Thirty hours of audio by the end of a term
- A shared note that stops halfway through
- Questions answered once and then forgotten
- No way to search for one problem across weeks
- Files too large for the group chat
- New members with no record of earlier sessions
✓ A term you can read
Each session turns into a document the whole group can search.
- A session back before the group chat goes quiet
- Korean detected without choosing it
- Chapters at each problem or topic change
- Numbers, formulas and dates gathered in the brief
- Chat that finds where a question was answered
- DOCX for the shared notes, TXT for search

FAQ
Study group recordings in South Korea: common questions.
How soon is a three-hour 스터디 transcribed?
Roughly 6 minutes for three hours of group discussion, because the service works through about 2 minutes of processing for each audio hour. Most groups can post the text in the chat before members have left the cafe, and a shorter two-hour meeting needs around 4 minutes.
What will ten weeks of sessions cost us?
One three-hour session is 180 minutes and sits on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, which holds two such sessions with room left. Ten weekly sessions of three hours are 1,800 minutes and need the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. The packs are priced in US dollars, and the minutes on them do not expire, so a group that pauses over the holidays loses nothing.
Our recording is very long. Will it upload?
Each upload may hold up to 10 hours or 5 GB of recording. Until a pack is bought, a file up to 2 GB is accepted, which covers many hours of phone audio; a bigger video starts once a pack is on the account. An all-day marathon before an exam that ran past 10 hours is cut into two files at a break.
Does it handle Korean and English mixed together?
Korean is detected automatically among 99 languages. A session that drops into English for terms or test questions is transcribed on its main language, and the switches are handled, so a quick read of the English passages is enough.
Can the absent member just ask the transcript a question?
Yes. The chat over the transcript answers a question like where the group solved a particular problem and points to the timestamp, so the member can jump to that moment.
What can we export, and is the recording kept private?
Exports come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, so the notes can go into a shared document or a flashcard tool. Study recordings are processed on our own servers and never used for training, and the uploader can delete them at any time.
