Transcribe a Taglish thesis interview and get to the appendix sooner.
A Taglish thesis interview of 45 to 120 minutes comes back as text in about 2 to 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the rest of that interview and several more. Upload the interview below; your respondent's mix of English and Tagalog stays in one transcript.
What an interview turns into
A transcript to quote from, and a draft for the appendix your panel asks for.
Respondents answer in Taglish
Undergraduate and graduate theses in the Philippines often record respondents who answer in Taglish, because that is how they talk. Switches between English and Tagalog in one recording are handled, so you do not have to force the interview into one language. Your appendix can then show each answer in the language the respondent actually used.
Quotes for chapter four
Key quotes come back with a timestamp, and the respondent is named in the summary and quotes when a name is used on the recording. If your consent form promises anonymity, replace names with codes during your review.
Your review pass, then the appendix
Download a DOCX, read it once against the recording, mark the interviewer and respondent turns, and fix any term a respondent said in a regional language. Passages in Cebuano, Hiligaynon or Waray are supported but come back as a fast first draft, so they deserve the closest look.
Phone, Messenger or Zoom
Face-to-face interviews recorded on a phone, Zoom recordings saved as MP4 or M4A, and voice files saved from a call all upload as they are. A folder of recordings in Google Drive can be pasted as one link, and a long video continues on the upload page.
Why interview transcription eats weeks
An hour of interview takes most students half a day to type.
✗ Typing it yourself
Each interview means hours of pausing, typing and rewinding, multiplied by every respondent.
- Four to six hours of typing per hour
- Taglish answers that slow you down
- Quotes you have to hunt for
- Paid services that ask for one language
- Upload caps that cut long interviews
- Deadlines that do not move
✓ Editing instead of typing
You start from a full draft and spend your time checking it, which is the part your panel cares about.
- Roughly 3 minutes per 90-minute interview
- Both languages in one transcript
- Quotes with timestamps
- A summary of each interview
- A DOCX to edit into the appendix
- Remove the audio once your study allows

FAQ
Taglish thesis interviews, the common questions.
How soon is a thesis interview ready?
A 90-minute interview takes about 3 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 45-minute one is usually back in under 2 minutes.
What will my whole set of interviews cost?
If this is your first time, the first 20 minutes are free. Six interviews of an hour each are 360 minutes and fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Ten interviews of 90 minutes are 900 minutes and fit the $12 pack of 2,000. The minutes never expire, so a late interview uses what is left.
Can a long interview file be too big?
Each upload may run to 10 hours or 5 GB. Files up to 2 GB go through before any purchase; larger ones need a pack first. A phone recording of two hours is far smaller than either.
My recorder split the interview into two files. Do I merge them?
No need. Upload each part as its own file; each comes back with its own timestamps. Only a single recording longer than 10 hours would need splitting.
Does it handle Taglish and regional languages?
Yes for Taglish: Tagalog and Filipino are detected automatically, and English and Tagalog switches in one interview are handled. A respondent who answers wholly in English is fine too.
Which formats can I export, and what happens to my respondents' audio?
DOCX and TXT for the appendix, plus SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete each recording and its transcript when your study allows.
