Kept in the language of the interview
The transcript is in Tamil because the participant spoke Tamil, not a paraphrase in English. If your protocol needs an English version, translate from the timestamped text rather than from memory of the audio. Quotes in a thesis or paper can then be given in the original Tamil with the translation beside them.

How large can a Tamil interview file be?

A participant switched between Tamil and English. What happens?
The interview is detected on its main language and the switches are handled, so English words stay as spoken inside the Tamil text. Check names and technical terms in one read, as you would with any transcript.
Which export suits coding software?
The DOCX is a standard Word file that most qualitative coding packages import. TXT is plain text, JSON carries the timestamps for scripts, and SRT or VTT help if the interview was filmed.
How private are the recordings?
Recordings of participants are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete a recording and its transcript when your data plan says to.
