Transcribe a full training day recorded at a Canadian course or workshop.
A training day in Canada is often recorded as one 6 to 8 hour file, and nobody wants to rewatch it to find module four. Upload it as it is: up to 10 hours goes in as one file, 7 hours comes back in about 14 minutes with chapters by module, and the first 20 minutes are free.
A day of training, organised
The modules, the questions and the examples, each with its time.
Chapters by module
The day comes back divided where the topic changed, which on a structured course is usually where each module begins. A participant who missed the afternoon can open the chapter on reporting and start there.
The questions people asked
The questions the recording answers are listed with the answer and the time. That is a ready FAQ for the next cohort, written from what a real room wanted to know.
One file from start to finish
A camera or a laptop left recording all day produces one long file. Up to 10 hours and 5 GB go in without cutting, so breaks and all, the day keeps one clock. upload page
What seven hours costs
Seven hours is 420 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 80 to spare. A three-day course of 21 hours, 1,260 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
Why all-day recordings go unwatched
Nobody rewatches seven hours to find one example.
✗ A long video on a shared drive
Training is recorded for people who missed it, and then no one can find anything in it.
- A single file too long for most upload forms
- Splitting into modules by hand in an editor
- Lunch and breaks left in, with no way to skip
- Handouts that do not match what was said
- Participants asking the same questions next time
- Captions that need a whole day of typing
✓ The day as a reference
Upload once and the training becomes something people search, not something they skip.
- About 2 minutes per hour of audio
- Chapters with start times for each module
- The trainer named in the summary and quotes
- A brief with the takeaways of the day
- DOCX notes and SRT captions from one run
- A chat that answers what the policy says about overtime

FAQ
Training day recordings, common questions.
How long does a 7-hour training day take to transcribe?
About 14 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. An 8-hour day takes about 16. Start it at the end of the day and it is ready before you have packed up the room.
What does transcribing a whole course cost?
One 7-hour day is 420 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Three days of 7 hours are 1,260 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A training team that runs sessions every week can compare that with the $19/month Workspace. Prices are in US dollars.
Our recording is one 9 GB video. What do I do?
Export the audio track, which for a full day is usually a few hundred megabytes, and upload that. Files can be up to 5 GB once a pack is on the account, or 2 GB before the first pack. The transcript is the same either way.
The training ran across two days in one file over 10 hours. How do I split it?
Cut at the overnight gap so each day is its own file. One file holds at most 10 hours, and a day of training rarely approaches that on its own.
Training was delivered in French. Will that work?
Yes. French is among 99 languages detected automatically. A day that alternates languages is detected on its main language, so check the passages in the other one against the audio.
Which files come out of a training day, and is the recording private?
A training day downloads as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete the training video when you are done.
