Transcribe training day recordings in Ireland with a chapter for every module.
A training day recorded in Ireland usually runs six to eight hours as one file, and a 7-hour day comes back as text in about 14 minutes. Chapters mark each module. The first 20 minutes are free, and the day's 420 minutes fits a $6 pack of 500.
From a long day to usable notes
One recording of the whole day, broken back into its modules.
Leave the recorder running
Record the whole day from the first welcome to the last question as a single file. Up to 10 hours or 5 GB goes in at once, so the lunch break and the coffee breaks stay in and nothing has to be cut or joined afterwards.
Chapters by module
Chapters break the day where the content changes, which for a structured course usually means one per module or session. Each chapter has a timestamp, so a participant who missed the afternoon can start exactly where it began.
Seven hours on one pack
A 7-hour day is 420 minutes on the $6 pack of 500. A three-day course of 7-hour days is 1,260 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 with room for the follow-up session.
Notes for those who missed it
The brief records the main points of each module, the questions asked from the room and the answers given. Send it with the DOCX transcript to anyone who could not attend, or keep it for the next time the course runs.
Why training recordings go unused
Eight hours of video that nobody will watch again.
✗ The recording on a shared drive
The day is recorded, filed, and never opened again because nobody can find the module they need.
- A full day of video with no index
- Tools that reject a file this long
- Cutting the day at lunch to fit a tool
- Questions from the floor lost
- Notes promised to participants and never sent
- Re-running the session for those who missed it
✓ The day as text and chapters
Upload the recording once and hand out the notes the next morning.
- A 7-hour day in roughly 14 minutes
- The full day as one upload
- First 20 minutes free
- Chapters for each module
- Questions and answers in the brief
- DOCX for the course folder

FAQ
Training day recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 7-hour training day take?
About 14 minutes. Speed is roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. An 8-hour day takes around 16.
What does a training day cost?
A 7-hour day is 420 minutes, inside the $6 pack of 500. A three-day course at that length is 1,260 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000. All amounts are US dollars, and unused minutes carry over.
Is the whole day too large to upload?
A training-day file is capped at 10 hours or 5 GB. Before the first pack, uploads up to 2 GB start immediately. A full day of video can go over that, so either buy the pack first or export the audio, which is far smaller.
Do I need to split the day at lunch?
No. Upload the full day as one file up to 10 hours, breaks included. Only a recording longer than 10 hours needs two files.
Can I make captions for the training video?
Yes. SRT and VTT come from the same run as the text, so the recording can be captioned for the course portal.
What do I download, and where does the recording go?
DOCX for the course folder, SRT and VTT for the video, and TXT and JSON as well. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
