6 to 8 hours · one file · about 2 min per hour

Transcribe a full training day in one file, chaptered by module.

A training day recorded as one six- to eight-hour file is transcribed in about 12 to 16 minutes, and it does not need to be cut into modules first. The first 20 minutes are free, and an eight-hour day uses 480 of the 500 minutes in a $6 pack. Compliance sessions, new-hire orientations and certification courses in the US often run the whole working day on one camera or one room recorder, and this page is about that file.

One day, one transcript

Morning welcome to closing Q&A, in a single document with a chapter for each module.

Long files are the normal case

Speed holds at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so seven hours take about 14 minutes. The public proof page records a 9.31-hour file finishing in 1,033 seconds, longer than most training days run.

Chapters by module

The chapters follow the day's turns: the welcome, each module, the exercise debriefs and the closing Q&A. Each opens at its timestamp, so someone who missed the afternoon can start straight at module four.

Watch the file size

A day of camera or screen video can be large. One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB; before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a bigger file starts once a pack is on the account. Exporting audio only, or a lower resolution, keeps an eight-hour day small.

The cost of a day

An eight-hour day is 480 minutes, which the $6 pack of 500 covers. Three monthly training days in a quarter come to 1,440 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000, and the credits never expire.

What usually happens to a training recording

Eight hours get recorded. Nobody watches them again.

✗ A recording no one reopens

An all-day file is too long to skim, so what the trainer explained stays locked inside the video.

  • Upload caps of an hour or two per file
  • Cutting the day into eight separate uploads
  • A 25 MB ceiling on the Whisper API
  • Floor questions lost from the notes
  • No way to find the module on reporting
  • A subscription bought for one event

✓ A day you can search

Every module, question and worked example, findable by word or by timestamp.

  • Ten hours allowed in a single file
  • Roughly 2 minutes of processing per hour
  • A chapter for each module
  • Names, numbers and dates listed
  • A chat that answers questions about the day
  • TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON exports

00:03:10 Morning, everyone. Phones on silent, and the sign-in sheet is going around for your completion credit.
01:47:30 Module two is incident reporting. The form changed in March, so even if you have done this before, stay with me.
03:22:15 If the incident happens on a weekend, who signs off, the shift lead or the manager on call?
03:22:40 The manager on call. The shift lead fills in the form, and the manager signs within twenty-four hours.
06:41:55 That is the last module. Please fill in the evaluation before you leave; it takes about three minutes.

FAQ

All-day training recordings, the questions.

How long until an eight-hour training day is transcribed?

About 16 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour; a six-hour day takes about 12. Leave the page if you like, since the finished transcript is kept in your Library.

How much does one training day cost?

Six hours are 360 minutes and eight hours are 480, both inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, and the pack carries on from where that preview stopped. Teams that run training every week may prefer the $19 a month Workspace.

Our day ran 11 hours with the evening session. What now?

Send it as two files, split at the dinner break or another natural pause. The limit is 10 hours or 5 GB per file, whichever comes first, and each file gets its own chapters.

Our video of the day is 6 GB. Will it go through?

Not as it is, because the ceiling is 5 GB per file. Export the audio, or the video at a lower resolution, and the same eight hours fit easily. If the recording is on YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive, paste the link instead.

Which languages work?

99, detected automatically. A training delivered mainly in Spanish, Korean or Portuguese is detected on that language without a setting.

What can I download, and where does the audio go?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON from one run; SRT and VTT add captions to the training video. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
