Transcribe university lectures in Japanese, a semester at a time.
A university lecture of 2 to 3 hours is transcribed into Japanese text in 4 to 6 minutes, with chapters by topic and timestamps to jump back into the recording. The first 20 minutes are free, and a semester of 15 two-hour lectures, 1,800 minutes, fits on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
What a lecture turns into
A semester of lectures you can search, instead of a folder of audio you mean to replay.
Japanese, detected
Japanese is one of 99 languages detected automatically, so there is nothing to choose before uploading. The transcript comes back in Japanese script, ready to search for a term the professor used in week four.
A semester in one place
Fifteen weekly lectures become fifteen transcripts in the same Library, each with a brief, chapters and the names, numbers and dates that were said. Before an exam, the chat answers questions about a lecture and points to the timestamp.
Long lectures, one file
A double period, an intensive course day or a recorded seminar can run well past two hours. A file up to 10 hours or 5 GB goes in whole on the upload page, so a 3-hour recording does not need to be cut first.
Recorded in the lecture hall
An IC recorder or a phone on the desk, a screen recording of an online class, or a video posted for the course: audio and video both work. YouTube, Vimeo and Google Drive links go in without a download.
Why lecture recordings pile up
Recording every lecture is easy. Finding one explanation in 40 hours is not.
✗ A semester of audio
Students record lectures to review later, and the files pile up faster than anyone can listen to them.
- Hours of audio replayed at double speed
- Notes that miss what was said off the slides
- Free tools that stop at an hour
- Splitting a 3-hour file before upload
- No way to search a whole semester
- Revision left until exam week
✓ A semester of text
Each lecture becomes a transcript with a brief and chapters, searchable alongside the rest of the course.
- Six minutes for a three-hour lecture
- Japanese detected without a setting
- Chapters by topic, with timestamps
- Lecturer named in the summary and chapters
- A chat for questions before an exam
- DOCX and TXT for your notes

FAQ
Lecture recordings, the questions students ask.
How long does a 3-hour lecture take?
About 6 minutes, and a 2-hour lecture about 4. Upload after class and the transcript is ready before you reach the station.
How much is a whole semester of lectures?
Fifteen 2-hour lectures make 1,800 minutes, which fits on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. If the lectures run 3 hours, fifteen of them make 2,700 minutes and suit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Prices are in US dollars, and the first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor.
What about English terms inside a Japanese lecture?
A lecture is transcribed on its main language, so a Japanese lecture comes back in Japanese. Technical terms, foreign names and formulas said inside it are worth checking against your slides or textbook.
Can I upload a lecture recorded on a phone?
Yes. A voice memo, an MP3 or WAV from an IC recorder, or a video of the lecture all upload directly, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. Until a pack is on the account, an upload can be up to 2 GB.
Can a lecturer make captions for a posted lecture?
Yes. SRT and VTT exports carry timestamps for the whole lecture, so Japanese captions can be added to a course video. TXT, DOCX and JSON come out of the same run.
Who sees my lecture recordings?
Your lectures are handled the same as any other file: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. Delete a lecture and its transcript whenever you like.
