Transcribe university lecture recordings in South Africa.
A two- or three-hour university lecture recorded in South Africa transcribes in about 4 to 6 minutes, in English, Afrikaans or Zulu, detected without a setting. The first 20 minutes are free, a $6 pack of 500 minutes holds about two weeks of lectures, and a whole semester fits on the $24 pack.
Built for the long lecture
A double period of teaching, turned into notes you can revise from.
Ready before the next class
A three-hour lecture comes back in about 6 minutes. Upload it on the walk out of the venue and the text is waiting before you sit down to the next module.
Three languages, no menu
English, Afrikaans and Zulu are among the 99 languages detected from the audio. A lecturer who explains in English and gives an example in Afrikaans is transcribed on the lecture's main language.
Chapters that match the syllabus
The lecture is split into chapters with timestamps, so the twenty minutes on one theorem or case can be found without scrolling three hours of text. Long video captures go through upload page.
Questions for revision
Each lecture comes with the questions it answers and a chat over the text. Ask what was said about the exam scope and the answer points to the minute it was said.
Why lecture recordings sit unused
Recordings pile up because nobody has time to rewatch them at full length.
✗ Rewatching at 1.5x
A recorded lecture is only useful if you can find the part you need, and video players give you a scrub bar and no text.
- Three hours to rewatch one lecture
- No search inside the video
- Auto-captions that skip technical terms
- Apps that cut off after an hour
- A monthly plan for one term
- Notes that lose where a point was made

Each recording becomes a searchable document with chapters and a clock.
- About 6 minutes for 3 hours
- English, Afrikaans, Zulu detected
- Chapters per topic, with timestamps
- A semester on one pack
- DOCX for your notes, SRT for the video
- Questions the lecture answers

FAQ
Lecture recordings, the usual questions.
How quickly is a three-hour lecture ready?
About 6 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio, and a two-hour lecture about 4. The transcript is saved to your Library, so you do not need to keep the tab open.
What would a full semester of recordings cost?
Take two lectures a week of two hours each for a 13-week term: that is 52 hours, or 3,120 minutes, which the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers with about 31 hours left over. One three-hour lecture uses 180 of the $6 pack's 500 minutes. All amounts are in US dollars, and unused minutes stay on the account.
Are Afrikaans and Zulu lectures supported?
Yes. English, Afrikaans and Zulu are all among the 99 languages detected automatically. A lecture that switches language now and then is transcribed on its main language.
The lecture video is large. Is there a size limit?
A single file may run to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before your first pack the upload limit is 2 GB, and a bigger file starts once a pack is on the account. If the lecture is on YouTube or a shared Google Drive link, paste the link instead and skip the upload.
Do I need to cut a long lecture into parts?
No. Even a lecture with a tutorial attached rarely nears 10 hours, the limit for one file. Upload it whole and the chapters do the dividing for you.
Which exports are there, and who can see my lecture?
TXT and DOCX for notes, SRT and VTT for captions on the video, JSON for anything else. Lecture recordings are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, and you can delete them from your Library at any time.
