2 to 3 h lectures · a semester of them · Swedish detected

Transcribe university lecture recordings in Swedish or English.

A 2-hour university lecture recorded in Sweden is transcribed in about 4 minutes, and a semester of thirty such lectures, 3,600 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000. Swedish is detected on its own, and each föreläsning comes back with chapters and the terms worth revising.

Revision, made searchable

A course of long lectures you can search like a book.

Find the part you missed

Two hours of a lecture hall is hard to scrub through on a phone. Chapters with timestamps split each lecture where the topic changes, and the chat answers "what did she say about the second model" with the minute it was said.

Terms and dates pulled out

Lecturers name theorists, cite years and write formulas on the board while saying them aloud. The brief lists the names, numbers and dates that were spoken, which is a ready start for a revision sheet. Formulas only come through as far as they were spoken, so keep the slides next to the text.

The recording you have

Course recordings usually arrive as a video link or a file from the learning platform, or a phone recording from the third row. Paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Drive link, or drop the file on the upload page. A phone in the hall also picks up coughs and chairs; those are not transcribed, only the lecturer and the questions.

Swedish, English or both

Many programmes in Sweden teach in English, and Swedish courses quote English sources. Each lecture is detected on its main language; one that switches is transcribed on the language it mostly uses.

Why lecture recordings go unwatched

Nobody rewatches a two-hour lecture to find ten minutes.

✗ Recordings without text

A video you can only scrub through is a poor study tool, and handwritten notes miss the second hour.

  • Scrubbing two hours for one point
  • Notes that stop when attention does
  • Auto captions without chapters
  • A monthly plan for one term
  • No search across the course
  • English-only tools for Swedish lectures

✓ Every lecture as text

Each recording comes back as a searchable document with its own chapters and brief.

  • About 4 minutes per 2-hour lecture
  • Chapters with timestamps
  • Terms and dates listed
  • A chat over the transcript
  • Swedish detected without a setting
  • $24 for 5,000 minutes

Sample

A long lecture, as it comes back.

This sample is illustrative and was written for this page in English for readability; the course and lecturer are invented. A lecture given in Swedish comes back in Swedish.

00:02:05 Today we finish the part on institutions, and after the break we start on the case studies you will use in the exam.
00:38:44 Write this down: the argument was published in 1990 and the whole second half of the course responds to it.
01:12:30 Is the second case study the one from the reading list, or a different one?
01:56:12 Good, that's where we stop. Next week we start on the methods, so read chapter four before then.

FAQ

University lectures in Sweden, the common questions.

How long does a 2-hour lecture take to transcribe?

Around 4 minutes, given a speed near 2 minutes per audio hour. A 3-hour lecture with a break is about 6.

What does a whole semester cost?

Count the lecture hours. Twelve 2-hour lectures in one course are 1,440 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000. Thirty 2-hour lectures across a semester are 3,600 minutes, inside the $24 pack of 5,000 at $0.29 an audio hour. Credits never expire, so lectures left at the end of term can wait for the exam period.

Can I try one lecture before paying?

Yes. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, which for a lecture is the opening stretch; a pack transcribes the rest from where the preview ended.

Do I need to cut a 3-hour lecture?

No. A single file may run 10 hours or reach 5 GB. Before your first pack the upload limit is 2 GB, which a 3-hour audio recording does not come near.

Does it handle Swedish?

Yes. Swedish is one of 99 languages detected automatically. English lectures and Swedish lectures in the same course each come back in their own language.

What do I download, and is the recording private?

TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON, with chapters and the brief. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
