Transcribe university lecture recordings in the UK for a full term of modules.
A university lecture recorded in the UK, usually 2 to 3 hours with a break, comes back in about 4 to 6 minutes at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. The first 20 minutes are free, and ten 2-hour lectures for one module come to 1,200 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers.
How a term of lectures comes together
One upload a week, and the revision notes are already half written.
Lecture capture or your phone
If your university's lecture capture system lets you download the recording, the MP4 uploads as it is. A recording made on your own phone from the third row works too; a clear view of the lecturer matters less than a clear voice.
Chapters that follow the slides
A two-hour lecture is split into chapters with timestamps where the topic changes, so the hour on methods and the hour on results become separate sections you can revise from. The brief lists the main argument and the takeaways.
A module, a term, a year
One 2-hour lecture a week for ten weeks is 1,200 minutes, a fit for the $12 pack of 2,000. Three modules at that pace come to 3,600 minutes, which is a job for the $24 pack of 5,000. All prices are in US dollars.
Ask the lecture a question
The chat answers from the transcript, so you can ask which reading the lecturer recommended for the second essay or when the formula was first put on the board, and then jump to that part of the recording.
Why lecture recordings are hard to revise from
Two hours of video is not a set of notes.
✗ Rewatching at double speed
Revising from recordings means watching them again, and that time grows with every week of the term.
- Rewatching a whole lecture for one point
- Auto-captions that vanish with the video
- Notes that stop when you lose the thread
- Lectures longer than a free tier allows
- A monthly plan for a ten-week term
- No way to search across weeks
✓ A searchable lecture
Each recording becomes a transcript with chapters, a brief and the terms the lecturer used.
- About 4 minutes per 2-hour lecture
- The opening 20 minutes free
- $12 for 2,000 minutes, one-time
- The lecturer named in the summary
- Chapters to revise topic by topic
- DOCX notes, SRT captions

FAQ
UK lecture recordings, answered.
How long does a 2-hour lecture take?
Roughly 4 minutes, at about 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 3-hour lecture with a break takes about 6. You can upload the next one while the first is running.
What does a term of lectures cost?
Ten 2-hour lectures are 1,200 minutes, which goes on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 800 left over. A full load of three such modules is 3,600 minutes and goes on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Nothing is charged for your first 20 minutes.
How big can a lecture file be?
Up to 10 hours or 5 GB in one file, so a lecture never needs splitting. Lecture videos up to 2 GB upload before the first pack; a larger file starts once a pack is on the account.
Does it work for lectures in other languages?
99 languages are detected automatically, so a lecture in French, German or Mandarin needs no setting. A lecture that switches language is transcribed on its main language. Music in a film clip is left out, and the speech is transcribed.
Can I paste a link instead of uploading?
If the lecture is on YouTube or Vimeo, or in a Google Drive folder, paste the link and nothing needs uploading. A folder link brings in every recording inside it.
Which formats can I export, and is my recording private?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON from each lecture. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you decide when they are deleted.
