Transcribe a Vietnamese church service so the homily is there to read all week.
A 100-minute Vietnamese church service recorded in the United States is transcribed in about 3 minutes, with Vietnamese detected automatically and any English portion of a bilingual service kept in the same text. Four Sundays of that length, 400 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes after the first 20 minutes free.
For the parish media volunteer
Grandparents heard the homily in the pews. Their grandchildren, who read Vietnamese slowly, can follow it on the page.
The homily's main points
The brief opens with the message's central idea and the takeaways, a starting point for the parish newsletter or the youth group's discussion.
Readings and notices, findable
Scripture passages, feast days, event dates and the names of committees read in the announcements are listed with timestamps.
Captions on the replay
Add Vietnamese SRT or VTT captions to the YouTube replay so it can be followed with the sound off. The choir and organ are not transcribed; the spoken parts are.
The past year at once
Paste a Google Drive folder of last year's services, or send a long camera file through the upload page; each service up to 10 hours or 5 GB.
Why the homily is lost
The service is livestreamed, watched once, and never found again.
✗ Video only
The replay sits on the channel with a date for a title, and anyone looking for last month's homily scrolls through hours of footage.
- No text of the homily for the bulletin
- Tools that fail on Vietnamese tones
- Captions skipped for lack of volunteers
- Readings and dates lost inside the video
- Bilingual Masses split across two tools
- Camera files too large to email
✓ Every service as text
Upload or paste the link after the service and the Vietnamese text, chapters and captions are ready before the parish hall empties.
- Full Vietnamese text of the service
- Chapters from the entrance to the dismissal
- Celebrant and readers named in the summary
- Scripture and dates listed with times
- SRT and VTT for the replay
- A month of Sundays on the $6 pack
Sample output
A Sunday homily and the notices, in Vietnamese.
Invented lines for illustration only; no real parish or priest. Gloss: "Brothers and sisters, today's Gospel tells us about the lost sheep"; "God never gives up on anyone"; "Let us pray for the elderly and the sick in our community"; "Next Saturday there is catechism class at nine in the morning"; "Thank you, and have a blessed week."

FAQ
Vietnamese church services, answered.
How long does a Vietnamese service take?
A 100-minute service takes about 3 minutes and a 2-hour feast-day celebration about 4, at roughly 2 minutes of processing per hour recorded.
What do a month and a year of services cost?
Four 100-minute services, 400 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Eighteen of them, 1,800 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, and forty-eight, 4,800 minutes, fit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, nearly a full year of Sundays. Credits never expire.
Some Masses are bilingual. Is the English kept?
Yes. The recording is detected on its main language, Vietnamese for most of these services, and the English readings or remarks are handled in the same transcript.
What about the choir and the music?
Hymns, organ and congregational singing are not transcribed; the speech is. In the text, a long sung section simply shows as a jump in the timestamps. The readings, prayers said aloud, the homily and the notices come through.
The service video is large. Will it go through?
Each file may run to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before a first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a larger camera file starts once a pack is on the account. If the service is already on YouTube, paste the link and skip the upload.
What do we download, and is it private?
The parish downloads TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Services are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so intentions and names read aloud stay with the parish.
