Transcribe isiZulu university lectures and tutorials.
A university lecture or tutorial that moves between isiZulu and English, usually 60 to 120 minutes, is transcribed in about 2 to 4 minutes. The main language is detected and the switches are handled, the first 20 minutes are free, and five 90-minute lectures fit on the $6 pack of 500 minutes.
For lectures in two languages
A lecture taught in English and explained in isiZulu, captured whole, both languages included.
Notes before the tutorial
A 90-minute lecture is text in about 3 minutes. Read through the explanation you half caught in the venue before the tutorial on it the next morning.
Two languages in one hour
Many lecturers teach the concept in English and explain it again in isiZulu. The recording is detected on its main language, and the switches between isiZulu and English come through in the same text.
Find the worked example
Chapters with timestamps divide the lecture by topic, so a single derivation or case can be found again in seconds. A long video capture goes through upload page.
Revision questions included
Every lecture comes with the questions it answers and a chat over the text. Ask what was said about the test and the reply quotes the lecturer and gives the minute.
Why recorded lectures go unused
A recording you cannot search is a recording you will not rewatch.
✗ A video and a scrub bar
Lecture captures are long, and most tools expect one language from start to finish.
- Ninety minutes to find one example
- Captions that drop the isiZulu parts
- Tools that ask you to pick one language
- Upload caps below a lecture's length
- A monthly fee across the whole year
- Notes that lose the lecturer's wording
✓ A lecture as a document
Each session becomes text with chapters, both languages included.
- Around 3 minutes per 90-minute lecture
- isiZulu and English in one text
- Chapters per topic, timed
- A term on one $24 pack
- Study notes in DOCX, captions in SRT
- Revision questions per lecture

A lecture that changes language mid-explanation.
This excerpt is illustrative and written for this page, not from a real course or institution. The isiZulu lines restate the English point: when demand goes up and supply stays the same, the price goes up.

FAQ
Lecture recordings in isiZulu and English.
How quickly is a 90-minute lecture ready?
In about 3 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio; a two-hour tutorial takes about 4. Upload it after class and the text is waiting in your Library.
What would a term of lectures cost?
Two 90-minute lectures a week for 12 weeks is 36 hours, or 2,160 minutes, which needs the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes and leaves about 47 hours. One lecture a week for the same term is 1,080 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Prices are in US dollars, and unused minutes stay on the account.
May I record and transcribe any lecture?
Transcribe what your lecturer or institution lets you record or download. If the course posts captures, use those; if a lecture is not shared, ask before you record it.
The lecture capture is a large video. What are the limits?
A lecture file may be as long as 10 hours or as large as 5 GB. Uploads before your first pack go to 2 GB, and a larger file starts once a pack is on the account. A lecture shared as a YouTube or Google Drive link can be pasted instead of uploaded.
Does it work when the lecturer mixes isiZulu and English?
Yes. The recording is detected on its main language and the switches are handled, so both the English definition and the isiZulu explanation appear in the text. Technical terms are worth a glance when you revise.
Which exports are there, and who can see my recordings?
DOCX and TXT for notes, SRT and VTT for captions alongside the video, JSON for anything custom. Lecture audio is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training, and you can delete it whenever you like.
