File not showing in the picker? On newer Android versions the recorder's folder can be hidden. Use Share in the recorder to save a copy to Downloads.
Call recordings are separate, in call_rec. Each call is its own file.
Both sides of a call are in a call recording and transcribe like any other file.
Recording calls: tell the other person; consent rules differ by country.
