What it is
Apple Intelligence Siri pairs the on-device speech recognizer with a small foundation model that runs locally on A17 Pro / M-series silicon. Larger requests route through Private Cloud Compute with cryptographically-attested isolation.
Watch out for: Hardware-gated (Neural Engine class requirement); rollout to non-English locales is staggered; some features still cloud-routed via Private Cloud Compute.
