For freelancers with overseas clients

Scope creep starts with a sentence nobody wrote down.

Meeting notes in the client's language

A meeting held in Spanish comes back in Spanish, one held in English comes back in English. You send notes the client can read without effort.

Scope and deadlines, pulled out

Deliverables, revision counts, amounts and dates said aloud are listed with the minute they were agreed, which settles most disagreements before they start.

Chapters for each topic

Background, requirements, timeline, questions. The chapters let you jump back to the requirements without replaying the small talk.

Upload after, never during

Record in Zoom, Meet or your own screen recorder, then hand the file over through the upload page. No assistant joins your client's call.

Where freelance projects go wrong

The client remembers the meeting one way, you remember it another, and the contract says neither.

✗ Memory and quick notes

Kickoff calls run long, clients think aloud, and the requirement that matters is mentioned once in passing. When the client works in another time zone, the call often happens late at night for you, which is exactly when notes get thin.

  • Requirements remembered differently by each side
  • Revisions requested that were never in scope
  • A 2-hour recording nobody rewatches
  • Notes in English for a client who prefers another language
  • Meeting bots that clients refuse to admit
  • Time spent writing recaps instead of billing hours

✓ The same meeting here

The meeting becomes a reference you and the client can both point to. Attaching the notes to the contract thread gives both sides the same version of what was agreed, in writing, on the day it was agreed.

  • A brief with goals and takeaways
  • Scope, amounts and dates with timestamps
  • Text in the language the meeting used
  • You and the client named in the summary and key quotes
  • A month of meetings on the $6 pack
  • DOCX to attach to the project thread

FAQ

Client meeting recordings, answered.

How long does a 2-hour meeting take to transcribe?

About 4 minutes. A 1-hour weekly check-in takes about 2.

What will a month of client meetings cost?

A 2-hour kickoff (120 minutes) plus four 1-hour check-ins (240 minutes) is 360 minutes, which fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. If you run meetings for several clients and reach 1,800 minutes a month, the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers it.

How large can a client meeting recording be?

A meeting file is accepted up to 10 hours or 5 GB. A recording over 2 GB starts as soon as your account holds a pack. A meeting saved to Google Drive or posted to YouTube can be pasted as a link.

Do I split a long workshop with the client?

Only past 10 hours. Anything shorter is one file, and the chapters divide it by topic. A 3-hour design review with breaks in the middle still goes in as a single upload of 180 minutes.

Can I get notes in my client's language?

The transcript comes back in the language that was spoken, detected automatically among 99 languages. A meeting in French gives French text. When you talk to a Filipino teammate in Tagalog or Taglish, that is detected as well.

Which formats can I send the client, and who sees the recording?

Send TXT or DOCX, or keep SRT, VTT and JSON for yourself. Your client's recording stays private: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
