What a pastor's week produces

You preach every week. The words should not vanish on Monday.

Where the recording lives

A sermon streamed and archived on YouTube or Vimeo can be pasted as a link, as can a podcast feed of past sermons. The sound desk's recording uploads as a file; the box here takes up to 500 MB and a long service video continues on the main upload page, up to 10 hours or 5 GB.

From sermon to study guide

The brief gives the main thesis and takeaways, chapters mark each point of the message, and the scripture references said aloud are gathered in one place. That is the skeleton of a small-group guide, a blog post or the notes page in next week's bulletin.

The caution: check the verse text

When you quote from memory or paraphrase from the pulpit, the transcript records what you said, not the printed translation. Before a quote goes into a handout or a book chapter, check the reference and the wording against the translation you preach from. Worship music is not transcribed; the spoken parts are.

A series, a year, an archive

Fifty-two Sunday sermons of 45 minutes are 2,340 minutes, and fifty-two midweek studies of 50 minutes add 2,600, for 4,940 minutes. That fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Credits never expire, so a year's pack can sit on the account.

Where sermon archives stall

Years of preaching, and none of it searchable.

✗ The usual archive

Hundreds of files that only the pastor remembers the contents of.

  • Sermons that exist only as video
  • Volunteers typing notes on Monday
  • Auto-captions with names of books garbled
  • No way to find 'the sermon on Ruth'
  • Free tiers that end before the altar call
  • A subscription for a weekly file

✓ A searchable teaching archive

Every message as text, with the structure already marked.

  • Under 2 minutes for a 45-minute sermon
  • Chapters for each point
  • Scripture references in the brief
  • A chat across the series
  • $6 for 500 minutes covers a month
  • Captions for the posted video

00:00:40 Good morning. If you have your Bibles, turn with me to the book of Ruth, the first chapter.
00:06:15 My first point this morning is that loyalty is not a feeling. It is a decision you keep making on the road.
00:19:32 Notice that Naomi tells her to go back three times. Three times. And Ruth does not move.
00:31:05 Second point. Where you go, I will go, is not a wedding verse. It was said by a widow to a widow.
00:43:48 Let us pray, and then the team will come forward for our closing song.

FAQ

Pastors' questions, answered.

How long does a sermon take to transcribe?

About 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 45-minute sermon is ready in under 2 minutes, and a full 2-hour service in about 4.

What does a year of sermons cost?

Fifty-two 45-minute sermons are 2,340 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes; add a weekly 50-minute study and the year totals 4,940 minutes, still inside it. A single month of 420 minutes fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Credits never expire.

Will the worship songs be in the transcript?

No. Singing and instrumental music are not transcribed. The text moves from one spoken part to the next, and the timestamps show where the songs sat.

Can I turn a teaching series into a book?

Yes, as raw material. Export each message to DOCX, use the chapters as section breaks and the brief as an outline, then edit spoken style into written prose.

Our church preaches in Spanish or Korean. Does that work?

99 languages are detected automatically. A sermon with an interpreter on stage switches language every sentence and is detected on its main language, so a recording of the interpreter's channel alone gives the cleanest text in that language.

Is the recording kept private?

Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. A sermon can be deleted from the account whenever you choose.
