Transcribe a 3-hour church service and give the sermon a life after Sunday.
A 3-hour church service is transcribed in about 6 minutes, with the sermon, readings, prayers and announcements as chapters. Paste the livestream replay link or upload the file, often 1.5 to 4 GB as video; the first 20 minutes are free, and the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the service with 320 minutes left.
A long service
The words of the service, without sitting through the whole video again.
Music out, spoken words in
Long services carry a lot of music: a worship set, choir pieces, hymns between readings. Music is not transcribed; the sermon, scripture readings, prayers, testimonies and announcements are. That keeps the transcript focused on what people will want to read.
Chapters by part of the service
Each part becomes a chapter with its start time, so the sermon can be found at minute 74 and the announcements near the end. The preacher and others who spoke are named in the summary, the key quotes and the chapters.
Straight from the stream
If the service went out live on YouTube, paste the replay link. A service streamed elsewhere can be downloaded and uploaded here or on upload page; a file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account, and up to 5 GB is accepted.
Notes, captions and study material
Turn the DOCX into sermon notes, put SRT captions on the replay, and lift quotes from the brief for the newsletter or social posts. The questions the sermon answers make a ready start for a small-group study. Volunteers who used to type notes from the replay can spend that time on something else.
Why long services go unread
The replay is three hours. Most people want the forty-minute message.
✗ The replay on its own
The service is posted in full and the sermon is hard to find.
- Members scrubbing for the start of the sermon
- No notes for people who missed the service
- Auto captions that stumble on scripture names
- A video file too big to upload to most tools
- Volunteers typing notes by hand
- A whole series of sermons with no text at all
✓ The service as text
The words of the service become searchable chapters within minutes.
- Text about 6 minutes after the link
- The sermon as its own chapter
- Scripture references listed
- Speakers named in the summary
- Captions for the posted replay
- Music left out of the text

FAQ
3-hour church services, the common questions.
How long does a 3-hour service take to transcribe?
About 6 minutes. With a livestream link nothing needs uploading, so the wait is mostly processing.
What does a year of long services cost?
One 3-hour service uses 180 of the 500 minutes on the $6 pack. A monthly calendar of four or five services is 720 to 900 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A full year of weekly 3-hour services is 9,360 minutes, which two $24 packs of 5,000 minutes cover with 640 left. For a team recording every week, there is also a Workspace at $19/month.
Will the worship music be in the transcript?
No. Music, sound effects and crowd noise are not transcribed; the spoken parts are. Words spoken over music may come through partly, so check those passages against the recording.
Our services are in two languages. Does that work?
Detection is automatic across 99 languages, and a bilingual service is read on the language used most. Passages in a second language are worth reading against the audio.
What about an all-night service longer than 10 hours?
A single file holds up to 10 hours. A longer vigil goes in as two files, and stream recordings longer than 6 hours start once a pack is on the account.
What happens to the recording?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. You can delete the service and its transcript at any time.
