Transcribe a 3-hour panel discussion with each panelist's argument easy to find.
A 3-hour panel discussion is 180 minutes of moderated debate, and it comes back as timestamped text in about 6 minutes; the venue's video file is often 1 to 3 GB, while the audio export is about 170 MB as an MP3 and uploads before any pack. The first 20 minutes are free, and a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers the panel with at least 320 minutes left.
For moderated discussions
Five voices, one moderator and three hours of argument, laid out by question and by speaker.
Where panel recordings come from
The venue's AV team hands over an MP4, the stream went out on YouTube or Vimeo, or the panel ran on Zoom. Upload the file or paste the link; a recording in Google Drive works from its share link too. Processing takes about 2 minutes per audio hour once the file is in.
Each question, its own chapter
A long panel moves through the moderator's questions and then opens to the floor. Timestamped chapters follow those turns, so the organisers can publish the answer to the third question without anyone rewatching the first two hours.
Every panelist named where it counts
The moderator and panelists are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the brief sets out each position and the takeaways. That is usually what the write-up, the newsletter and the proceedings need.
When the audience mic is weak
Questions from the floor are often caught by a roaming mic or not at all. What reached the recording is transcribed; a question that was barely audible in the room may come back thin, so check those timestamps before quoting the audience.
What panels usually leave behind
The best exchange of the conference, and only the people in the room heard it.
✗ Panel as a video only
Three hours of discussion is hard to cite, quote or summarise from a video timeline.
- A write-up drafted from someone's notes
- Quotes attributed from memory
- The venue file too large for small tools
- No captions on the published video
- Audience questions lost
- Proceedings delayed by weeks
✓ Panel as text
The full discussion comes back with structure, names and timestamps before the conference ends.
- Three hours read in about 6 minutes
- Chapters by the moderator's questions
- Positions summarised in the brief
- Quotes with their timestamps
- Captions as SRT and VTT
- Room for 320 more minutes on the $6 pack

FAQ
Three-hour panel discussions: questions organisers ask.
How quickly does a 3-hour panel come back?
In about 6 minutes for the processing, at roughly 2 minutes per audio hour. A pasted link adds the time to fetch the video.
What does a conference's worth of panels cost?
One three-hour panel is 180 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Six panels of that length are 1,080 minutes and fit the $12 pack of 2,000 with 920 left. A three-day event with fifteen such sessions, 2,700 minutes, fits the $24 pack of 5,000.
The AV team recorded the whole day in one file. Is that a problem?
Not if it stays within 10 hours and 5 GB. A nine-hour stage recording is one file; a day that ran longer than 10 hours has to become two. Before the first pack, files up to 2 GB upload, so a large day file usually starts once a pack is on the account.
Can I get captions for the published panel video?
Yes. SRT and VTT come from the same run as the transcript and match the recording's timing, so they line up with the video you publish.
Our panelists speak different languages. Will that work?
99 languages are detected automatically. A panel that moves between languages is detected on its main language, so passages in the other language need checking, and the interpreter's channel, if recorded separately, can go up as its own file.
Who has access to the recording?
It is transcribed on our own servers and never used for training. You can delete the recording and the transcript once the proceedings are published.
