Training day · 300 min · about 10 min

Transcribe a 5-hour training day and turn it into the manual nobody had time to write.

A 5-hour training day is 300 minutes of audio and comes back as timestamped text in about 10 minutes; the audio alone is roughly 150 to 300 MB, and a full video of the day is usually 1.5 to 4 GB. It fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes with at least 200 left, and the first 20 minutes are free.

For trainers, onboarding and compliance teams

A full day of instruction, condensed into a reference people open at their desks.

Captured however the room allows

Training days are recorded as a Zoom or Teams meeting, exported from a learning platform, filmed at the back of a classroom, or caught on a phone beside the trainer. Upload the MP4, M4A, MP3 or WAV, or paste a Google Drive, YouTube or Vimeo link if the day was posted there.

Ten minutes for the day

At about 2 minutes per hour of audio, five hours is roughly 10 minutes of processing. Lunch, coffee breaks and quiet exercises add very little, since there is little speech in them.

Modules you can jump to

Chapters follow the day: the welcome, each module, the demos, the case exercises and the wrap-up. The chat answers a question such as what the retention period for a record is, with the timestamp where the trainer said it.

A course in minutes

One day uses 300 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack. A five-day course is 1,500 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 500 left. Sixteen training days across a year, 4,800 minutes, fit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes with 200 to spare.

Why a training day evaporates

Five hours of material, and the handout covers about a tenth of it.

✗ A day remembered loosely

Trainees leave with slides and a few notes, and the details go first.

  • Steps nobody wrote down
  • Slides with no explanation beside them
  • Questions answered once, then forgotten
  • Video too long to search
  • New hires retrained from zero
  • Uploads that fail on big files

✓ A day kept as text

The recording goes in after the session and returns with chapters and a brief the team can file.

  • About 10 minutes for 300 minutes
  • Every module as a chapter
  • Trainer named in the brief
  • Steps and figures listed
  • DOCX for the manual
  • 200 minutes left for a refresher

FAQ

A 5-hour training day: what trainers ask.

How long does a 5-hour training day take to transcribe?

Roughly 10 minutes, at about 2 minutes per audio hour. You do not need to keep the page open; the transcript appears in your Library.

What does 300 minutes cost?

It fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes and leaves at least 200. A first-time visitor gets the first 20 minutes free, and the pack transcribes the rest of the day from where the preview ended. Credits never expire.

The day's video is 3.2 GB. Will it upload?

With a pack on the account, yes, since the limit is 5 GB per file; before a pack, files go up to 2 GB. The upload box on this page takes up to 500 MB and passes bigger files to the main upload page. Five hours of audio alone is a few hundred megabytes.

Can it handle technical vocabulary?

Product names, acronyms and system terms are transcribed as spoken; check the spelling of in-house names in the first pass. English terms inside another language are handled, and 99 languages are detected automatically.

We train every week. Is there a team option?

Packs cover most programmes. A team that records sessions every week can also use the $19/month Workspace.

Is the training content kept private?

The day's recording is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training. Delete the recording and transcript when your retention policy says so.
