Transcribe academic congresses held in Spain.
To transcribe an academic congress held in Spain, upload one file per session: a 6-hour room-day comes back in about 12 minutes, in Spanish, Catalan or English. Three rooms recorded for 6 hours on each of 3 days make 3,240 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000, and the first 20 minutes are free.
For organising committees and researchers
Every room, every day of the congreso, as text the proceedings can be built from.
A room-day in one file
A whole morning and afternoon in one room goes up as one recording, up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Chapters open at each paper, so a 6-hour file still reads as a list of talks.
Each session in its own language
Language is detected per recording, so the plenary in English, a panel in Catalan and the parallel sessions in Spanish each come back in the language spoken. A session that moves between two of them is detected on its main language.
A congress priced up front
Three rooms over three days at 6 hours each is 54 hours, 3,240 minutes, inside the $24 pack of 5,000. A single-room, two-day congreso of 14 hours is 840 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000.
From the AV team's drive
The session files usually arrive on a shared drive after the event. A Google Drive share link or folder goes straight in; other files upload through upload page.

FAQ
Academic congresses in Spain: frequent questions.
How long does a congress session take to transcribe?
A 6-hour room-day takes about 12 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 90-minute panel is ready in about 3. All rooms of a day can be uploaded together, and they run side by side.
What does a whole congress cost?
Three rooms for three days at 6 hours each is 3,240 minutes on the $24 pack of 5,000. A smaller congreso under 2,000 minutes fits the $12 pack, and a single 6-hour day, 360 minutes, fits the $6 pack of 500. All prices are in USD. Credits never expire, so next year's edition can use the remainder of this year's pack.
Our session videos are large. Will they upload?
Each file may run to 10 hours or 5 GB, and uploads made before the first pack go up to 2 GB. A 6-hour video at 2 Mbps is 5.4 GB (250,000 bytes a second times 21,600 seconds), so split that room-day at lunch or upload its audio. Keeping one file per room and per day also makes the chapters line up with the printed programme.
Can it handle Spanish, Catalan and English in the same congress?
Yes. All three are among 99 languages detected automatically, per file. A session that switches language is detected on its main language and the switches are handled. Presenters reading a paper aloud quickly are still transcribed; technical terms and acronyms deserve one check before printing.
Can I paste a folder of session files?
A Google Drive folder link works, and so do YouTube and Vimeo links if the sessions were published there. Files on other platforms are downloaded first and uploaded. If the session files are on a platform with no share link, ask the AV provider for downloads.
Which exports suit proceedings, and is it private?
DOCX for the proceedings editors, SRT and VTT to caption the session videos, TXT and JSON for an archive. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, so unpublished results stay with the committee. Presenters and chairs are named in the summary and the key quotes of each session file.
