Multi-day · one file per session · Drive folder link

Transcribe conference recordings from an event in Spain.

A three-day conference in Spain with eighteen sessions of 50 minutes is 900 minutes of audio, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes and is transcribed at about 2 minutes per audio hour. Paste the Google Drive folder that holds the session files and each talk comes back as its own document with chapters and quotes.

After the event

Every room, every session, turned into text the organisers can publish.

A folder, not forty uploads

Recording teams usually hand over a Drive folder with one file per session. Paste the folder link and the files are fetched on our side, so nobody downloads gigabytes of video to upload them again.

Each talk keeps its own clock

A session is transcribed as its own document, timestamps starting at its own zero. That keeps the keynote, the panels and the workshops apart, which is how speakers and attendees will look for them.

Panels with many voices

On a panel of four plus a moderator, the speakers are identified and named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, so the write-up can attribute each point to the person who made it.

Talks in several languages

An event in Spain often mixes Spanish, Catalan and English sessions. Language is detected per file, so each session comes back in the language it was given without anyone sorting them first.

Why conference recordings stay unused

The recordings exist. The text never gets made.

✗ The usual afterlife of an event

Hours of video sit in a folder because transcribing them one by one costs too much time.

  • Downloading every file to re-upload
  • A per-file price for forty sessions
  • Session timelines merged by mistake
  • No captions on the published talks
  • Quotes typed from the video
  • English-only tools for a bilingual programme

✓ The folder, done

One link in, and every session back as its own transcript with its own summary.

  • A Drive folder pulled in one go
  • Under 2 minutes for a 50-minute talk
  • Chapters and quotes per session
  • SRT and VTT for each video
  • Language detected per session
  • $12 for 2,000 minutes

Sample

A panel session, as it comes back.

This sample is illustrative and was written for this page in English; the event, panel and speakers are invented. Sessions given in Spanish or Catalan come back in the language spoken.

00:00:48 Thanks for coming to the last panel before lunch. I'll ask each of you one question and then open it up.
00:09:31 The numbers from the pilot were better than we expected, but only in the two cities where the schools took part.
00:27:15 I disagree slightly. The pilot ran for one year, and the second year is when these programmes usually drop off.
00:41:02 A question for both of you: who pays for it once the pilot money is gone?

FAQ

Conference recordings, the common questions.

How long do the sessions take to transcribe?

About 2 minutes per hour of audio, so a 50-minute talk takes under 2 minutes and a 90-minute plenary about 3. Files in a folder are processed in parallel, so the whole set does not wait in one line.

What does a whole conference cost?

Add the session lengths. Eighteen sessions of 50 minutes are 900 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000. A larger event with sixty sessions of 50 minutes is 3,000 minutes, inside the $24 pack of 5,000 at $0.29 an audio hour.

Can I paste a Google Drive folder?

Yes. Google Drive share links and folders are fetched on our side, as are YouTube and Vimeo links. The folder has to be shared by link so the files can be read. Files can also be uploaded directly, up to 2 GB each before a pack and 5 GB after.

Should a full day of one room go in as one file?

You can, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file, but one file per session gives each talk its own transcript and summary, which is easier to publish.

Which languages are recognised?

99 languages, detected automatically per file. Spanish, Catalan and English sessions in the same folder each come back in their own language.

What can we publish, and is the audio private?

Each session exports as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
