Transcribe church services in Japan every week, without the typing.
A church service in Japan of 90 to 120 minutes uploads as one file and is usually transcribed in about 4 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, a $6 pack of 500 minutes covers four 2-hour services, and a year of 90-minute services fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
One service a week, handled
Sermon text for the newsletter, captions for the video, notes for the small groups.
The sermon as a chapter
Chapters with timestamps mark the call to worship, readings, sermon, prayers and notices, so the sermon can be copied out on its own without trimming the audio first.
Four minutes after the last hymn
At about 2 minutes per audio hour, a 2-hour service is ready in roughly four minutes. Music is not transcribed; the spoken parts of the service are.
A year of Sundays on one pack
Fifty-two services of 90 minutes each come to 4,680 minutes. The $24 pack holds 5,000, which leaves 320 minutes for special services. If several people in the church upload every week, upload page also offers a $19 monthly Workspace for the team.
From the livestream replay
If the service streams to YouTube, paste the replay link. A Facebook live replay needs to be downloaded first and then uploaded as a file.
Why services stay unwritten
Volunteers have the recording, but not the hours to type it.
✗ Typing it by hand
A two-hour service is a long job for a volunteer, every single week. Smaller congregations often have no paid staff for it at all.
- Most of a weekend to type one sermon
- Free tools that stop well short of 2 hours
- Hymns and songs mixed into the text
- No timestamps for the video team
- Monthly plans priced for companies
- Notes for small groups written from memory
✓ The service as text
Upload once after the service and the text, chapters and captions are ready for everyone. The sermon text can reach members who were away that week.
- About 4 minutes per 2-hour service
- Spoken parts transcribed, music left out
- Sermon and notices in chapters
- Preacher named in the summary and quotes
- SRT and VTT for the video
- Packs that never expire between seasons

FAQ
Church service recordings from Japan, the common questions.
How long does a 2-hour service take to transcribe?
Around 4 minutes, since processing runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour. A 90-minute service takes about 3. You can upload on Sunday afternoon and read it soon after.
What do weekly services cost over a year?
Fifty-two 90-minute services add up to 4,680 minutes, which the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers with 320 minutes left. For a month of 2-hour services, the $6 pack of 500 minutes holds four of them with 20 minutes to spare.
Is there a size limit for the service video?
A service file is accepted up to 5 GB and up to 10 hours long. Before the first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, which a 2-hour service video normally stays under. A YouTube replay link needs no upload.
We had a long special event. Do we need to split it?
Only if it runs past 10 hours. A retreat day or a conference held at the church fits as one file below that.
Does it work for services in Japanese and English?
Japanese and English are both among the 99 languages detected automatically. A bilingual service is detected on its main language, so the passages in the other language deserve a read against the recording.
What can we download, and who sees the recording?
Download TXT and DOCX for the newsletter, SRT and VTT for captions, and JSON for a website. A congregation's recordings stay private: recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
