Transcribe church service recordings every Sunday.
A South African church service of 90 to 120 minutes transcribes in about 3 to 4 minutes, in English, Afrikaans or Zulu, with no language to choose. The first 20 minutes are free, a $6 pack of 500 minutes holds about four Sundays, and the $24 pack covers a congregation's services for months.
For the media team
The sermon as text by Sunday lunch, ready for the newsletter and the small groups.
Sermon notes the same day
A two-hour service is ready in about 4 minutes. The media team can post sermon notes and a reading list while people are still talking about the message.
The whole service in order
Upload the full recording rather than cutting out the sermon. Chapters mark the welcome, the readings, the message and the notices, so each part is easy to lift out. Big video files go through upload page.
Quotes for the week ahead
Key quotes come back with timestamps and the preacher named, ready for a social post or the study guide for home groups. Music and singing are not transcribed; the spoken parts are.
Captions for the video
SRT and VTT files caption the service video for members who watch later, or with the sound off. They come from the same run as the text, so the words match.
Why sermon notes take all week
A volunteer typing the sermon spends longer on it than the preacher did.
✗ Typing it up by hand
Sermon notes and captions usually depend on one volunteer with an evening free. When that volunteer is away, the notes simply do not go out.
- An evening to type one sermon
- The service cut before upload
- Apps that stop at an hour
- Captions done separately from notes
- Readings copied from memory
- A new monthly plan for every tool
✓ One upload after the service
The full recording goes in once and everything the team needs comes back together.
- Roughly 4 minutes for a 2-hour service
- English, Afrikaans, Zulu detected
- Chapters for each part of the service
- Quotes with the speaker named
- Captions and notes from one run
- Credits that never expire

FAQ
Church service recordings, answered.
How long does a two-hour service take?
Roughly 4 minutes, since processing takes about 2 minutes per audio hour. A 90-minute service is usually ready in about 3.
What do our Sunday services cost per month and per year?
Four services of two hours are 480 minutes, which fits the $6 pack of 500. A year of weekly two-hour services is 104 hours, or 6,240 minutes; the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers about 41 of those Sundays. A team that records every week can also use the $19 a month Workspace. Prices are in US dollars.
We livestream the service. Can we use the link?
Yes, a YouTube livestream replay or a Google Drive link can be pasted directly. A Facebook live replay has to be downloaded first and then uploaded.
Our services mix English with Afrikaans or Zulu. Does that work?
All three of English, Afrikaans and Zulu are on the list of 99 languages detected automatically. A service that switches language is detected on its main language, so plan a quick read through the passages in the other language.
Is there a file size limit for the service video?
The ceiling per file is 10 hours or 5 GB. Before your first pack, uploads go up to 2 GB, and a larger video starts once a pack is on the account.
Which formats come back, and what happens to the recording?
The service comes back as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON files. Services are transcribed on our own servers and never used for training, and you can delete any recording from your Library.
