90 to 120 min every week · about 4 min each · first 20 min free

Transcribe church services every week, without a volunteer typing.

A Sunday service in the US usually runs 90 to 120 minutes, and WhipScribe returns a 2-hour service in about 4 minutes, with the sermon marked by chapter. Fifty-two 90-minute services come to 4,680 minutes, so a full year of Sundays fits on one $24 pack of 5,000 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free.

What a media team does with it

The service ends at noon; the sermon notes are ready before lunch.

Straight from the livestream

Many churches stream the service to YouTube. Paste the replay link once the stream ends and nothing needs downloading. A Facebook Live replay has to be downloaded first and then uploaded; files up to 2 GB go in before any pack.

The sermon, found fast

The chapters mark the welcome, announcements, readings, sermon and closing prayer, so the sermon text can be lifted out for a blog post, a small-group guide or a newsletter. Scripture references and dates spoken from the pulpit show up in the brief. upload page

Worship music is skipped

Songs and instrumental sets are not transcribed; the speech is. That keeps the transcript to what was said, so the sermon reads cleanly without verses of lyrics in between.

A year of services, priced

One 2-hour service is 120 minutes of a $6 pack, so four Sundays fit on it. Fifty-two 90-minute services total 4,680 minutes, inside the $24 pack of 5,000. A media team that also records midweek studies and youth nights can use the $19 Workspace instead.

Why service recordings rarely become text

The livestream is up by noon; the transcript never happens.

✗ A volunteer and a deadline

Most churches rely on one volunteer to type up the sermon, and it slips the week they are away.

  • Two hours of video to type from
  • Song lyrics mixed into caption text
  • Sermon notes that arrive on Thursday
  • Free tools that stop at 30 minutes
  • No captions on the archived video
  • Old sermons nobody can search

✓ Every Sunday, done in minutes

The recording or link goes in after the service and the text is ready before the building empties.

  • Around 4 minutes per 2-hour service
  • Pastor and readers named in the summary
  • Sermon chapter ready to lift out
  • Music left out of the transcript
  • SRT captions for the archive
  • A year of services on one pack

FAQ

Church service recordings, the common questions.

How long does a 2-hour service take to transcribe?

Around 4 minutes, because each audio hour takes about 2 to process. A 90-minute service is ready in about 3.

What does a year of Sunday services cost?

Fifty-two services of 90 minutes come to 4,680 minutes and fit the $24 pack of 5,000. A shorter run, such as a sermon series of six 2-hour services, is 720 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000. The credit never expires, so a pack bought in January carries through the year.

Can we use the livestream instead of uploading a file?

Yes, if it streams to YouTube: paste the replay link. A replay longer than 6 hours starts once a pack is on the account, which no ordinary service reaches. Facebook replays need downloading and uploading.

The service file is very large. Will it upload?

Up to 2 GB before the first pack and up to 5 GB after, with a limit of 10 hours per file. Exporting audio only from the video makes the file much smaller.

Our services are bilingual, English and Spanish. What happens?

Language detection picks the service's main language from 99. A service delivered mostly in Spanish comes back in Spanish; passages in the other language follow the main one, so check those before you publish.

Which exports do we get, and is the recording private?

DOCX for sermon notes, TXT for the website, SRT and VTT for captioning the video, and JSON for anything automated. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
