Transcribe conference recordings from New Zealand, session by session.
A three-day New Zealand conference of 24 sessions at 45 minutes each is about 1,080 minutes of audio, and each session comes back in under 2 minutes. Paste the Drive folder link; the first 20 minutes are free and the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers the programme.
What a conference looks like here
Every room, every day, turned into a searchable programme.
A whole folder, one link
Put the session recordings in a Google Drive folder, share it, and paste the folder link. Each file becomes its own transcript, named as it was in the folder, so the programme order survives.
Each session in under two minutes
A 45-minute session is ready in well under two minutes, and the whole three-day programme finishes long before the closing drinks have been cleared.
The programme, in minutes
Twenty-four sessions of 45 minutes come to 1,080 minutes. The $12 pack holds 2,000, so the remaining 920 cover keynotes, panels and next year's opening day.
Proceedings without a re-watch
Each session returns with a brief, chapters and named key quotes, which is most of what a conference summary or proceedings page needs. A single file outside the folder goes in through upload page.
Why conferences are awkward elsewhere
A conference is dozens of recordings, not one.
✗ One upload at a time
Most tools want each session uploaded, named and tracked by hand.
- Dozens of manual uploads
- Files renamed to keep them in order
- A keynote cut to fit a length cap
- Summaries written from slides
- A subscription for a yearly event
- No captions for the session videos
✓ The programme, in one pass
A folder in, a transcript per session out, ready for the proceedings page.
- Drive folder links
- One transcript per file
- About 2 minutes per hour
- Named quotes per speaker
- Captions per session
- One-time packs, starting at $6

FAQ
Conference recordings in New Zealand, the common questions.
How long does a conference take to transcribe?
Each 45-minute session takes about a minute and a half, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. A full three-day programme is usually done within an hour of the folder link going in, depending on the queue.
What does a three-day conference cost?
Twenty-four sessions of 45 minutes are 1,080 minutes, which goes on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes, about $0.36 per audio hour. A one-day event of under 500 minutes fits on the $6 pack.
How large can each file be, and should sessions be split?
The ceiling per file is 10 hours or 5 GB. One file per session is the tidiest way to work, but a whole day recorded as one stream also goes in as it is. Before the first pack, each upload can be up to 2 GB.
Which languages are covered?
99, detected automatically, and each session is detected on its main language. A session in English that opens with a mihi in te reo Māori is transcribed as English, so read the te reo passage against the audio.
Which formats come back, and who sees the recordings?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON for each session. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and any session can be deleted with its transcript.
Can we caption the session videos?
Yes. Each session's SRT and VTT file matches its recording, ready to add on your video platform. The DOCX makes the proceedings page; the chapters make its contents list. Panel sessions with several voices work the same way, with each panellist named in the summary and key quotes where the recording makes clear who is talking.
