Transcribe a French conference in Canada every session, in its own file.
A French-language colloque or congrès in Canada is best sent one session per file, and a 90-minute session comes back as French text in about 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and three days of three rooms at 6 hours a day, 3,240 minutes in all, fit the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes.
From the conference rooms
Every room recorded, every session readable before the proceedings deadline.
Why one file per session
A session file keeps one talk and its questions together, so the summary, the chapters and the speaker names belong to that session alone. Recordings of a whole room for a day also work, up to 10 hours or 5 GB; upload them on upload page.
Talk, panel, questions
Each session comes back with chapters for the opening, each presentation, the discussion and the questions from the floor, with timestamps that line up with the video.
References in a list
Studies cited, figures shown on slides and read aloud, institutions mentioned and dates are collected beside the text, which helps whoever writes the proceedings or the session report.
Captions for the replays
Export SRT or VTT to caption session videos in French, or DOCX to edit into actes du colloque. A YouTube or Vimeo link to a published session can be pasted instead of a file.
Why conference recordings stay unused

FAQ
French conference recordings, the common questions.
How fast does a session come back?
A 90-minute session takes about 3 minutes, and an hour-long keynote takes about 2. If you upload several sessions, each one is processed as its own job. The organising committee can upload all the sessions of a day in the evening and have the text before the next morning's opening.
What does the whole conference cost?
Count the recorded hours. Three rooms for three days at 6 hours a day is 54 hours, or 3,240 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. A one-day colloque with a single room of 7 hours, 420 minutes, fits the $6 pack. Prices are USD.
Should I upload a full room-day or each session?
Either works. A file per session gives cleaner summaries and chapters; a full day per room, up to 10 hours, saves you from cutting the video. Days longer than 10 hours need two files. Name each file after the room and the session time before uploading, so the transcripts are easy to match with the program.
Some talks are in English. Can they share the upload?
Yes, each file is detected on its own main language, so an English talk comes back in English and a French talk in French, with no setting to change between them.
What are the size limits?
Each file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before a pack is on the account, uploads stop at 2 GB per file, which a single session rarely reaches. Recording from the room's sound system rather than a phone in the audience gives the clearest text, especially during questions.
What formats come out, and is anything shared?
Each session exports as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON, so the proceedings team and the video team can each take the format they need. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training.
