Transcribe grand rounds and teaching sessions in Australia, for teaching and revision.
A recorded grand rounds or hospital teaching session of about an hour comes back as text in roughly 2 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free. Eight 1-hour sessions, 480 minutes, fit the $6 pack of 500 minutes; this is for training and revision only, not a medical device and never a guide to patient care.
For trainees, registrars and educators
The weekly teaching session, kept as text you can revise from.
Recordings you may use
Many hospitals record grand rounds for staff who were on the ward at the time. Upload only teaching recordings you have permission to use, downloaded from wherever your education unit shares them, or paste the link when the session is posted on Vimeo or YouTube.
What a session turns into
A brief states the question the talk set out to answer and its main teaching points. Chapters split background, evidence review and discussion, and the drug names, study sizes and figures the speaker quoted are gathered so you can check them against the source.
A teaching year, counted
Weekly 1-hour sessions over 40 weeks make 2,400 minutes, which needs the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. A single term of 13 sessions is 780 minutes on the $12 pack, and a department sharing the work across a roster can also look at the $19 monthly Workspace.
Find the teaching point again
Ask the chat where the speaker compared two approaches and it returns the passage with the minute it was said. That is quicker than replaying an hour of slides to find one argument before an exam or a presentation of your own.
Why teaching recordings go unwatched
The session was recorded while you were on call. It stayed in a folder.
✗ An archive of hour-long videos
Rosters mean most trainees miss more grand rounds than they attend. The recordings pile up, and nobody has a spare hour to sit through each one to find the two slides that mattered.
- Sessions missed for clinical shifts
- A folder of hour-long teaching videos
- Slides that skip what the speaker said
- Discussion at the end never written down
- Study figures remembered loosely
- Player captions you cannot search across sessions
✓ A searchable teaching file
Each session becomes a short document: the brief, the chapters and the discussion, in the speaker's words. Over a year that becomes a revision set built from your own hospital's teaching.
- About 2 minutes per session
- Speaker named in the summary and quotes
- Chapters that mirror the talk
- Figures and drug names listed for checking
- Chat to locate a teaching point
- DOCX for revision notes

FAQ
Grand rounds recordings, the common questions.
How fast is a 1-hour grand rounds recording?
About 2 minutes, since speed runs near 2 minutes per hour of audio. A 90-minute session with a long discussion takes about 3.
What does a term of grand rounds cost?
Thirteen 1-hour sessions make 780 minutes and fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A shorter run of up to eight sessions fits the $6 pack, and a full teaching year of 40 sessions moves to the $24 pack.
Can the transcript guide patient care?
No. It is a transcript of a teaching session for training and revision, not a medical device. Check any dose, figure or drug name against its source before it goes into notes of your own.
Is there a size limit for a teaching recording?
Files of up to 2 GB go in before a first pack; after one, the ceiling is 5 GB or 10 hours. An hour of lecture video is usually a few hundred megabytes, so size rarely matters here.
Will medical terms and accents come through?
Drug and condition names are transcribed as spoken, and they are collected in a list you can check. 99 languages are detected automatically, and speakers with any English accent are transcribed as they talk.
Where is the recording processed, and what can I export?
Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and a session can be deleted once you have your notes. Downloads come as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON for your revision tools.
