Transcribe ASR Voice Recorder lectures seminars you can search.
An MP3, M4A or WAV lecture from ASR Voice Recorder on Android uploads here as it is, up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file, and a 3-hour seminar is back as text in about 6 minutes. Twenty 90-minute lectures come to 1,800 minutes, which the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes covers after the first 20 minutes free.
From ASR to revision notes
ASR saves the lecture in the format you picked; WhipScribe takes any of them.
Sending the recording
In ASR's recordings list, the menu next to a lecture usually includes share, which can send it to Google Drive, Dropbox or email. A Drive share link pasted on upload page saves an upload from the phone. The app's settings show the folder it records into, if you would rather copy the file to a laptop.
Three formats, three sizes
M4A at 128 kbps uses 57.6 MB per hour, so a 3-hour seminar is about 173 MB. MP3 at the same bitrate weighs the same. WAV is the heavy one: around 318 MB an hour in 16-bit mono at 44.1 kHz, close to 950 MB for three hours, still well under the 2 GB that uploads before a pack.
A course, worked out
Twenty lectures of 90 minutes add up to 1,800 minutes. The $12 pack of 2,000 minutes holds them with 200 to spare, at $0.36 an audio hour. A single 3-hour seminar needs 180 minutes, which the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers with room for two more.
From transcript to study guide
Each seminar comes back with a brief of the thesis and takeaways, chapters at each new topic, and a list of the definitions, figures and dates mentioned. The questions the lecture answers read like a revision checklist. Classmates who spoke up are named in the summary and quotes.

FAQ
ASR Voice Recorder lectures, answered.
How long does a 3-hour ASR lecture take to transcribe?
Around 6 minutes. Speed runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour, so a 50-minute class is done in under 2 minutes and a full day of 7 hours in about 14.
Which ASR format transcribes best?
All three work, because the speech is what gets transcribed. M4A or MP3 keep the lecture small enough to send from a phone on mobile data. Pick WAV only if you also want to edit the audio, and check ASR's format setting before a long day.
How much is a whole course?
A first visit includes the first 20 minutes free, and a longer recording is previewed until a pack from $6 transcribes the remainder. Twenty 90-minute lectures, 1,800 minutes, fit the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Packs are one-time purchases in US dollars, and unused minutes stay on the account.
The lecturer switches between English and another language. Does the transcript keep both?
No. The main language is detected automatically from 99, and switches into a second language inside the same lecture are handled. Technical terms said in English inside another language come through too.
Can I record the lecture without asking?
Check the course's recording policy and ask the lecturer, because many classes set rules on recording. Keep the recordings and the transcripts for your own study unless you have permission to share them.
Which files can I download from a seminar, and who sees it?
Each seminar downloads as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Lectures are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and deleting one removes its transcript too.
