Transcribe long recordings from Hopin and RingCentral Events every stage of a long conference.
Hopin and RingCentral Events recordings transcribe from the files the organiser downloads, up to 10 hours or 5 GB each, and a 7-hour stage recording comes back in about 14 minutes. A two-day conference with three stages running 7 hours a day is 2,520 minutes, which the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes covers, after the first 20 minutes free.
A conference, stage by stage
Multi-day virtual conferences leave dozens of hours; the text makes them usable.
From Hopin to RingCentral Events
Hopin's events product now runs as RingCentral Events. Organisers download stage and session recordings from the event's admin area, usually as MP4 files; check the export settings, as options depend on the account. If you still hold archives from the Hopin years, download them while you have access. We have no integration with either.
Big stage files, worked out
A 7-hour stage video at 1.5 megabits a second is about 4.7 GB (1.5 million bits times 25,200 seconds, divided by 8), close to the 5 GB ceiling and over the 2 GB that uploads before a pack. If the upload refuses the file, convert it to MP3 first: at 128 kbps the same 7 hours is about 403 MB.
Pricing the whole conference
Three stages of 7 hours on each of two days make 42 hours, or 2,520 minutes. That passes the $12 pack's 2,000, so the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes is the buy, at $0.29 an audio hour, with 2,480 minutes left. Each 7-hour stage finishes in about 14 minutes.
Session pages and sponsor reports
Every stage returns with a brief of each talk's thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps where one talk ends and the next begins, and the names, numbers and dates said on stage. Speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the chat finds the answer to any question about the day.

Forty hours of stage video is too much for anyone to review by hand.

FAQ
Hopin and RingCentral Events recordings, the common questions.
How long does a stage recording take to transcribe?
About 2 minutes per hour of audio: a 7-hour stage in roughly 14 minutes, a 45-minute session in under 2. The proof page shows 9.31 hours done in 1,033 seconds.
What does a two-day RingCentral Events conference cost?
On a first visit the first 20 minutes are free, and longer recordings are previewed. A single session fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes. Two days of three 7-hour stages, 2,520 minutes, need the $24 pack of 5,000, which also includes API access.
The stage file is over 2 GB. What now?
Files up to 5 GB and 10 hours upload once a pack is on the account; before that the limit is 2 GB. A stage that ran longer than 10 hours goes up as two files. Converting to MP3 shrinks the file a great deal.
Is there a Hopin or RingCentral integration?
No. Nothing connects to the platform and no bot attends the event. Download the recordings and upload them, or paste YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive links if the sessions were published there.
Can sessions be in different languages?
Yes. Each file is detected on its main language from 99, automatically. A panel that moves between two languages is detected on the one used most.
What comes back, and what happens to the recordings?
TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON for each file. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete a stage and its text at any time.
