Transcribe long calls recorded with a Jabra Speak every interview in a study, readable.

A 2-hour call held on a Jabra Speak comes back as text in about 4 minutes once you upload the recording your call app or recorder saved. The first 20 minutes are free on a first visit, and a study of ten 2-hour interviews is 1,200 minutes, which fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.

Long calls, many of them

Researchers, consultants and recruiters hold long calls back to back. Each recording becomes a transcript you can quote from.

The Speak hears; something else records

A Jabra Speak is a speakerphone for a laptop or phone and records nothing by itself. The recording comes from the call platform, its cloud, or a recorder app running alongside. Download it from wherever that tool keeps recordings; the file type depends on the app, often MP4 or M4A.

Consent first, every call

Recording a call needs the consent the law where you are requires. Ask at the start of each call, and keep that moment in the recording so the transcript carries it too.

Sound on both ends

The Speak's microphones handle your side of the room; the other side reaches the recording through the call's own audio. A caller on a weak connection may come back with gaps where the audio dropped. Asking them to repeat names and numbers keeps the record complete.

Interviews you can code

Each call returns as a brief, chapters with timestamps for each topic, the names, numbers and dates mentioned, and the questions the call answered. Speakers are named in the summary, key quotes and chapters, and the JSON export carries timestamps for analysis software.

A study's worth of calls

Ten long interviews are twenty hours of listening before the analysis can start.

✗ Without transcripts

The calls are recorded; the study waits.

  • Weeks of replay before coding
  • Quotes checked against the audio by ear
  • Notes that drift from what was said
  • Calls too long for short-file tools
  • Themes found by memory
  • Follow-ups missed

✓ With each call uploaded

Every interview, ready to read.

  • Upload the call's own recording
  • About 4 minutes per 2-hour call
  • Questions answered, listed
  • Quotes found in the chat
  • JSON for analysis tools
  • Ten calls on one $12 pack

FAQ

Jabra Speak calls, the common questions.

How long does a 2-hour call take?

About 4 minutes, at roughly 2 minutes per hour of audio. Upload the morning's calls at lunch and the transcripts are ready before the afternoon's first interview starts.

What will a whole study cost?

Ten 2-hour interviews are 1,200 minutes, inside the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Twenty-five of them are 3,000 minutes, which fits the $24 pack of 5,000. One call on its own uses 120 minutes of the $6 pack of 500, after the first 20 minutes free.

Does WhipScribe connect to Jabra or the call app?

No. There is no integration with Jabra software or any call platform, and no bot joins a live call. You upload the recording afterwards, or paste a Google Drive share link if it is stored there.

How big can a call recording be?

Up to 10 hours or 5 GB per file. The upload box on this page takes up to 500 MB and a larger recording continues on the main upload page; a file over 2 GB starts once a pack is on the account.

The interview was in Spanish. Does that work?

Yes. 99 languages are detected automatically, and a call that mixes two is detected on its main language, with English terms inside the speech handled.

Which exports are there, and is the call kept private?

Every call exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Calls are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, which matters when interviewees spoke in confidence.
