Transcribe a Litmos training video library every module, searchable as text.
A 3-hour product training recorded for Litmos is transcribed in about 6 minutes once you upload the original file, and the first 20 minutes are free. A library of 120 videos averaging 18 minutes, 2,160 minutes in all, fits the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes; WhipScribe has no link into Litmos and works on the video files your team holds.
From library to text
A library of short videos is easy to publish and hard to search. Text fixes the second part.
Collect the originals
Video in a Litmos course is uploaded by an admin or author, and the originals usually sit on a shared drive or with whoever produced them, often as MP4 files. Learner downloads depend on course settings, so the production folder is the easier place to start.
Short videos and long sessions
Upload each video as its own file; a single file may be up to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before your first pack, the cap is 2 GB per file, and larger recordings begin once a pack is on the account. Videos already on Vimeo, YouTube or Drive can be pasted as links.
A library, priced
120 videos averaging 18 minutes are 2,160 minutes, just above the $12 pack, so they sit on the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. A sales enablement series of 15 videos at 40 minutes, 600 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000.
What each video returns
A brief with the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and the names, numbers and dates the presenter said. Chat across a transcript to answer a support question, and attach SRT or VTT captions to the course video.

FAQ
Litmos training videos: questions teams ask.
How long does the whole library take?
About 2 minutes per audio hour: 36 hours of library, the 2,160 minutes above, is roughly 72 minutes of processing in total, and each video is ready as soon as its own run finishes.
What does it cost to transcribe a library?
On a first upload, 20 minutes are transcribed at no charge. A single 3-hour session is 180 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes; 600 minutes of enablement videos fit the $12 pack of 2,000; the 2,160-minute library needs the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes. Credits never expire, so a library can be done in stages.
Can we transcribe courseware we licensed from a vendor?
Check the licence first. Content you bought from an off-the-shelf provider usually limits copying and republishing; recordings your own team made are yours to transcribe.
Is there a bulk upload?
Upload the files one after another; each one runs on its own and there is no splitting to do. For a very large catalogue, see /bulk-transcription.
Music plays under some of our videos. Does it get transcribed?
No. Music, sound effects and background noise are not transcribed; the presenter's speech is. The language of each video is detected automatically, from 99.
What exports come back, and are the videos kept private?
Every lecture exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Every video is transcribed on our own servers and is never used for training, and you can delete files and transcripts at any time.
