Transcribe long training recordings from TalentLMS once the video is on your computer.
A two-hour training recording taken out of TalentLMS turns into text in about 4 minutes once you upload the file here. The first 20 minutes are free, the $6 pack of 500 minutes covers that session with 380 minutes left, and WhipScribe has no connection inside TalentLMS: it works on the file you download with permission.
From the course to a document
Get the recording out of the course, then the rest is one upload.
Getting the file
Corporate training on TalentLMS usually lives as a video unit inside a course, uploaded by an instructor or administrator. Whether a learner can save it depends on how the account owner set the course, so ask the course owner for the original file when no download is offered. Instructors usually still hold that original, often an MP4, on their own drive.
Long sessions upload whole
A recorded instructor-led session of two or three hours is one file here, with no trimming. Each upload can run to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first. Before the first pack, files up to 2 GB upload; a bigger one starts after a pack is on the account. Where a lesson file in an unusual format is refused, convert it to MP3 and try once more.
A whole course library
Twenty-five hours of compliance and product training is 1,500 minutes. That sits on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes with 500 to spare, at $0.36 an audio hour. A single two-hour session belongs on the $6 pack instead.
What the team reads
Every session returns with a brief of the thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and the names, figures and dates the trainer said. Chat over the transcript answers a question like which steps the policy section required, and the text drops into a job aid or a quiz.
Training video elsewhere
A long lesson video is easy to watch once and hard to search afterwards.

FAQ
TalentLMS recordings: what people ask.
How long does a two-hour TalentLMS session take?
About 4 minutes, since processing runs near 2 minutes per hour of audio. For comparison, /proof/long-files shows a 2.48-hour recording completed in 200 seconds.
What does one session, or a course library, cost?
A first-time visitor gets 20 minutes at no cost. One two-hour session is 120 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A 25-hour library needs 1,500 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000, and credits never expire.
I cannot see a download button in the course. What now?
That is the account owner's choice, and it should be respected. Ask the instructor or administrator for the original file, then upload it. We do not log in to TalentLMS or reach into a course.
Can a long session be split, or several be joined?
There is no need to split: one file can hold up to 10 hours. If a day of training was saved as three parts, upload each one, or join them first if you want one document.
Which languages can the trainer speak?
Any of 99 languages, detected automatically with nothing to choose. A session that switches between two languages is detected on the main one, and the switches are handled.
Which exports come back, and is the content private?
A TalentLMS lesson comes back in five formats: TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training, and you can delete a file and its text whenever you like.
