Transcribe Mighty Networks event and course recordings so members can read the event they missed.
A 4-hour Mighty Networks event recording is transcribed in about 8 minutes once you upload it, and the first 20 minutes are free. That event uses 240 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack, while a 3-day virtual event of 15 hours, 900 minutes, fits the $12 pack of 2,000; there is no WhipScribe connection inside Mighty Networks, only the recording you upload.
From a live event to a written archive
An event recording is the biggest piece of content a network makes. Most members never watch it twice.
Where the file comes from
Live events in Mighty Networks are often streamed from the platform itself or held on a video-call tool, and the replay ends up either in the event or with the host. Check the event's options or the call tool's recordings for a download, usually an MP4. Course videos are files the host uploaded, so the original is often on the host's drive.
Long events in one piece
A half-day event never needs cutting: a single file may run to 10 hours or 5 GB. Before any pack is bought, files up to 2 GB upload; bigger ones start after a pack is on the account. If the event replay is on YouTube or Vimeo, paste that link.
Pricing an event or a season
A 4-hour event is 240 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes. A 3-day summit with 5 hours a day is 900 minutes on the $12 pack of 2,000. Twelve monthly 2-hour masterclasses, 1,440 minutes, also fit the $12 pack.
What members get to read
The transcript comes with a brief of each talk's thesis and takeaways, chapters with timestamps, and the names, numbers and dates guests mentioned, with speakers named in the summary and chapters. Turn chapters into an event recap post and use the chat to find a quote.
After the event ends
Four hours of replay is a lot to ask of a member who missed the morning.

FAQ
Mighty Networks recordings: frequent questions.
How long will a 4-hour event take?
About 8 minutes, because each audio hour needs roughly 2. A 90-minute course video takes about 3 minutes.
How much does an event, or a year of events, cost?
The first 20 minutes are free for a first-time visitor. One 4-hour event is 240 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes; a 3-day, 15-hour event needs 900 minutes and fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. Credits stay on the account with no expiry.
We had guest speakers. Can we post their words?
Ask each guest before you publish a transcript of their session. Transcribing for your own notes is one thing; posting a guest's full talk as text is another, and most guests are happy to say yes when asked.
Can WhipScribe fetch the replay from my network?
No: replays inside a member network sit behind a login and there is no connection to fetch them. Download the file and upload it here, or paste a YouTube, Vimeo or Google Drive link to a copy hosted there.
The event ran all day. Is there a length limit?
One file can be up to 10 hours or 5 GB, whichever comes first. A day longer than 10 hours goes in as two files, and an event over 2 GB uploads once a pack is on the account.
Which formats come back, and what happens to the recording?
Five formats: Download it as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT or JSON. Event audio is transcribed on our own servers, is never used to train a model, and can be deleted together with its text whenever you like.
