Transcribe long recordings from Resi the whole service, not just the sermon.
An archived Resi service of 90 to 120 minutes becomes text when you download the recording and upload it: a 2-hour service returns in about 4 minutes. After the first 20 minutes free, four 2-hour services use 480 of the 500 minutes in the $6 pack.
After the stream is archived
Resi keeps the service. You take a copy and send it here.
Getting the recording out
Whoever manages your church's Resi account downloads the archived event; the file is usually an MP4, though the options depend on how your stream was set up, so check the export settings first. There is no Resi connection on our side, no plugin and nothing that joins the broadcast.
Your service, your permission
Upload the services your church streamed, or recordings another church has said you may use. A guest speaker's message is still covered by whatever agreement you have for the stream, so keep the transcript inside that.
Why 90 to 120 minutes matters
A service of that length is too long for many free tools and too large for the OpenAI Whisper API's 25 MB limit. Here the whole 2-hour file goes in as one upload and one clock, from the prelude to the closing blessing, with nothing to cut.
Four Sundays on one pack
Four 2-hour services are 480 minutes, which sits inside the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 20 to spare. A fifth service needs another pack; a church transcribing every week for a year (6,240 minutes at 2 hours each) needs the $24 pack of 5,000 minutes plus the $12 pack of 2,000.
The long Sunday problem
Two hours of service rarely survives a short-file tool intact.

FAQ
Resi recordings, the common questions.
How long does a 2-hour Resi service take?
Close to 4 minutes, since processing runs at about 2 minutes per audio hour. For a 90-minute service, expect about 3.
What will a month of services cost?
Your first 20 minutes are free on your first visit. Four 2-hour services are 480 minutes on the $6 pack of 500 minutes, at $0.72 an audio hour. Larger archives move to the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes or the $24 pack of 5,000.
Can WhipScribe pull the service from Resi directly?
No. There is no Resi integration. Download the service, then upload the file. If the same service also goes to YouTube or Vimeo, you can paste that link instead.
How big can the downloaded service be?
A service file may be as large as 5 GB or as long as 10 hours. Files up to 2 GB upload before your first pack; a larger one starts once a pack is on the account. A 2-hour service at 5 Mbps is 5 × 7,200 = 36,000 megabits, about 4.5 GB, so a smaller download helps.
What languages can the service be in?
Any of 99 languages, recognised without a setting. A bilingual service is detected on its main language and the switches are handled. Sung worship is not transcribed; the spoken parts are.
What exports come back, and is the recording private?
A Resi service exports to TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training. The church can delete any service whenever it chooses.
