Transcribe long ScreenPal recordings lessons and trainings as text.
A long ScreenPal (formerly Screencast-O-Matic) lesson or training can be saved as a video file, usually an MP4, and uploaded here, and a 70-minute module comes back in under 3 minutes. The first 20 minutes are free, and an eight-module course of 560 minutes fits the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes.
From ScreenPal to a transcript
ScreenPal records the lesson. Saving it as a file is the only step before the text.
Save it as a video file
ScreenPal can save a recording to your computer as a video file, usually an MP4; the exact wording of the save option depends on your version, so check the export settings. Upload the saved file here as it is. A narrated slide training is mostly static picture, so the file stays small even when the module runs past an hour.
Already published?
If the lesson went to YouTube or Google Drive, paste that link rather than saving a local copy. A Drive folder link brings in a whole course at once, one transcript per recording.
A course, priced honestly
Eight modules of 70 minutes total 560 minutes. That is 60 minutes more than the $6 pack holds, so the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes is the one to buy, and it leaves 1,440 minutes for the next course.
Training notes people use
Each module comes back with a brief of what it teaches, chapters with timestamps for each step, and the figures, dates and terms mentioned. Learners can ask the chat where a step was explained. New staff can search the text for the step they forgot instead of replaying the whole module.
Training recordings elsewhere
A course recorded in ScreenPal is hours of video that nobody can skim.

FAQ
ScreenPal recordings: common questions.
How long does a 70-minute ScreenPal module take?
Under 3 minutes, working at about 2 minutes per audio hour. For scale, the proof page shows a 9.31-hour file completed in 1,033 seconds.
What does an eight-module course cost?
On your first visit, the opening 20 minutes of a module are free. Eight 70-minute modules are 560 minutes, on the $12 pack of 2,000 minutes. A single module fits the $6 pack of 500 minutes with 430 minutes left.
How big may the file be, and should I split a long training?
Files can be 10 hours or 5 GB; until a pack is bought the cap is 2 GB, and anything larger begins once a pack is on the account. A screen recording of slides is small, often well under 500 MB an hour, so splitting is rarely needed.
Is there a ScreenPal integration?
No. WhipScribe does not connect to ScreenPal and runs nothing inside it; it transcribes the saved file or the published link afterwards. The transcript starts from whatever you hand it, so the original recording stays where it is in ScreenPal.
Can trainings be in other languages?
Yes. Any of 99 languages is detected automatically, with nothing to choose, and a training that mixes two languages is read on its main one. Narration in Portuguese, Korean or Afrikaans works the same way as English.
Which formats come back, and is my training private?
Modules come back as TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT and JSON. Trainings are transcribed on our own servers and are never used for training models.
